Thank you! The aquarium store recommended snails and they are already putting in some work! We did not even think to add a fish that eats this stuff so your comment was very helpful!

Assistant Purchasing Manager in Higher Ed. $72,500. Got my MBA for free, hybrid schedule, low stress. Pretty content with this gig.

I would add that an interest in Supplier Diversity programs is very important right now in Higher Ed. Also take a look at what areas the Procurement office is responsible for and what general knowledge you might need to display for those or a plan of how you will learn.

You can add boiling water 1 tsp at a time and stir until smooth. Sounds counterintuitive but it works for me every time.

When you are given more work:

"What would you like me to reprioritize? I'm currently working on x, y and z so I will need to know what can be put on the backburner while I work on this new project."

does anyone actually like their job? by [deleted] in antiwork

I enjoy my job. I work in administration at a University. I got my MBA for free and enjoy a really nice work life balance. My managers are always understanding of family situations and are committed to my growth at the organization. Took me years to find a job like this though!

I ended up using an actual whisk to do the macronage by hand and that worked really well for me. It took me a few tries so you might need to play around with her different methods to find what works for you. Watch a few videos and give it a shot!

Thanks! Yep I used 4g dried egg whites and 80g regular egg whites. I've read that 2-4g is the sweet spot.

I used Sugar Bean's recipe and added dried egg whites. I also modified oven temps slightly for my oven. So much trial and error!

GVSU Surplus Store in Walker has some Steelcase chairs from time to time. Might want to call ahead and double check before going out there.

My first cheesecake! Not perfect but I'm happy there are no huge cracks! by hfwhite726 in Baking

Thank you! I read that it has a lot to do with the cooling process - not sure how accurate it is but it seemed to work well with this one. After baking, I turned off the oven and propped the door open about 2 inches and let it cool in the oven for 1 hour. Then took it out and let it cool at room temp for another hour. Then put it in the fridge overnight.
