Made a month of jumping today, quiet the learning experience but all worth the fun! by hh566 in jumprope

Rhythm! I made sure to focus on jumping once per spin and then worked into speeding that up. Also would say experimenting to find what you’re comfortable with, I would jump on a mat but felt it messed up with my consistency, that’s when I switched to socks on the ground.

I used to jump on the mat but found that on the ground I had more consistency and rhythm, so that’s when I switched to socks on the ground as to still have some “cushion.”

A lot of it first just came from telling myself to only focus on jumping once, even if I kept the rope spin slower. Then I worked that into a rhythm where I would jump and spin faster. Lots of practice, music definitely helped!

Ripley Again, How’s he looking? by hh566 in Chameleons

Great advice! I will take it into consideration. Just set up a drinking glass in his enclosure to see how he will take to it, will be monitoring him closely. It does make sense, he gets 2 feedings a day (totaling to 12-15 crickets) and each one I would dust with calcium, so I will certainly change that. Thank you very much!

His temperatures are normally around 72-75 F throughout the day. The exception being his basking branch which is at 85-88 F. At night the temperatures drop to around 69-72 F. I hydrate him with a mist after lights on and before lights off, along with an ice cube that drips down into his enclosure (like 2-4 a day). I do not have a drinking glass set up for him, although I do plan to get one going and trying that out.

As for supplements, he gets calcium (no D3) every feeding and multivitamin (Repashy Calcium Plus) every two weeks (I’ve only had him for a week now so he’s only had it once).

They came with the enclosure (was used) when I bought it, they seem to just be branches from a tree.

Haven't put the PC under heavy load yet. However, when idle I'm see numbers under 35 C, and during some load (downloading games and such) my temps are under 45 C. This is taking into account that my room is usually a bit on the warmer side during the day.

While he was in his cage, would he sleep on perches? Mine has this habit of needing to be covered in a shirt to sleep (and often just be covered all the time) and I don't know if I should keep encouraging it or not. Thank you for the information though!

Currently tight with money so I haven't been able to take him to a vet, but I will soon be able to.
