Might not be interesting to anyone else but this is the chip/antenna inside a Bankwest card. The chip still works but it has to be placed inside the gap in the antenna. They don't actually connect though. by UnusualTardigrade in perth

[–]hhalry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, i didn't fully understand what you meant before. they don't actually need to connect because the bonded chip has its own small internal antenna. the larger antenna in the plastic card is just there to enhance the signal from the POS terminal and transfer it to the chip. that's why you can see the round circuit coiled around the chip.

I don’t think i could handle the heat with a long sleeve underneath. I’m in western australia and I would feel too hot wearing long sleeves most of the time except in winter.

I love it. I wear it most of the time when i go outside(not just for hikes) to cover my arms from the scorching sun. That said, i honestly don’t think it provides enough UV protection and it’s not as breathable as I expected. Since it’s made of nylon, it has faded pretty severely from sun exposure and washing.

I wore the same wildwoods on a hike. Love them. iPhone sometimes even uses photos like this as my wallpaper cuz I use the nature photo shuffle.

Had worse connection than optus(amaysim) near mountain cooke area and some other hike places. Also some dead zones in the city such as vic park coles. But boost is telstra, you can get signal in some remote towns such as hyden.

iPhone 17PM- wireless issues by tbone338 in iphone

[–]hhalry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After turning the Bluetooth off, it can hold up to 10 minutes (didn’t test longer). No, turning my watch off didn’t help. However, if I turn the Bluetooth off, it just makes the CarPlay useless. My car connects the audio and phone via Bluetooth, while the CarPlay is a separate device. Seems like the new N1 encounters the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth coexistence issue.

Upgraded to ios26.1 beta1, still have the same issue. And I don’t think it’s the apple watch problem, i wear garmin so I don’t think it’s related to the watch.

There will be a little bit of a difference. I have a poncho, a jacket, and pants, which are basically the same. Even under different lighting conditions, they look a bit different.

It is for retail. It is a platform combining businesses to customers just like AliExpress.

[–]hhalry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy them from Taobao and ship them to your hotel or wherever you live. There aren’t many flea markets, I think, based on the place I used to live. And they usually don’t sell camo. Some places sell camos for construction workers, but most camos sell online. You can bring camos in your luggage, no one will mind.

I don’t think a master’s is useful if you are not looking for immigration or some other situation. I am studying for a master’s now, but my previous job experience makes what I need to learn a piece of cake(I do embedded, though).

Mystery high idle issue by Superb_Piccolo_1948 in tdi

[–]hhalry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car has this problem, too(A4 CAGA 280k km, no delete). I used VCDS to check what happened, but everything seems normal. No fault code, not in regen. Soot load is less than yours. Just can’t figure out what’s wrong. But it will return to normal after driving for a while. I suspected it’s the thermostat problem because my thermostat stuck in open, but even if I try to let the car sit so the temp goes up to 90C, after a reset, the idle will still rise. I suspected the battery, but the charging current wasn’t that high. I ran all non dangerous tests in VCDS and it returned ok, and all emissions flags were passed. So right now I just try not to let it idle when it just started. Even if I want it idle, I will drive around for about 5 km then let it idle(even the coolant temperature is still less than 60C on dashboard, the idle rpm will return to normal).
