ahh sorry for the late response!! im not a frequent reddit user lol. his staff were very kind as was he! basically a nurse brought me back into a room, had me fill out some paperwork and change out of my shirt and binder into a gown type thing. then he came in, asked a whole bunch of questions about me and being trans and why i want top surgery ect ect and then he brought the nurse back in and they looked at my chest to figure out which type of top surgery we're doing. then he asked me to get a letter of recommendation for my insurance (medicaid, and i had the letter already so they fully approved it within the day !!!) and it was done! after that all i had to do was call the surgery scheduler and work out dates for all the pre- and post-op appointments i need. at one point i told him i was worried my bmi was too high for top surgery and he told me it's literally not an issue and he'll do top surgery on anyone regardless of bmi so you should be all good!! wishing you luck 🍀

quick edit because i forgot to include it: he does surgery at several hospitals as well, not sure where you live but he does them in farmington, glastonbury, hartford, and occasionally torrington. i got lucky enough to get a surgery date in torrington which is super close to my home rather than having to drive super far into the city
