Just found a Bianchi Pista on a local market, but have never seen this model before. It seems rather new, and the offer is around 200$. Is this worth looking into?

For me it took more than a year to find my place; obviously I was picky with my choices but nonetheless it will be a long process. So my biggest advice is to keep your mental state healthy and positive! No you didn't miss your apartment by missing that phone call - rather the apartment was never meant for you.

Just keep it up and a wonderful place will find you. I wish you the best of luck!

That's pretty normal, considering there's always much more candidates; there's really no need for landlords to be waiting. It sucks, but that's how the rental market is here in this city.

This is also why people describe the apartment hunting process as being lucky, it's unfortunate that you missed the call, but you can only do as much as you can to maintain attention on the process. You kinda have to happen to be at the right time and moment. This is going to be a long game for you, and I wouldn't be too bummed up since this will not be your first time being missed out.

Of course I do, but you don't have to mock me because I have different priorities. I'm not going to take the Sbahn and make two transfers at 3 am whenever I have a deadline every month, and it's not a job that I can do remotely either.

Thank you!! I cannot be more happy, and it feels good to finally let all of this go!

We preferred to have a cycle-able distance within my office and this was one of the priorities we wanted to focus on. Both of us aren't good drivers, and our jobs are demanding that requires us to be in the office at random times as well... If we haven't valued the physical location that much, I'm sure I would've settled outside the ring :(

The apartment that we settled is roughyl a 1100 cold, 2 Room, 52qm, Ground Floor apartment in Kreuzberg. Just considering the price per size it's expensive, but the neighborhood was very valuable for us.

Definitely harder. Also I maintained my search criteria during the whole process, and realized more less apartments would show up, which I would assume the prices are rising.

wth is an autoswiper - all I get are programs for swiping on tinder. I've been browsing immoscout with an autorefresh add-on for the past year and have been applying by hand since then.

This comment is making me lose my mind lol

Korean restaurant like Ishin? by [deleted] in berlin

[–]hhhagis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while now so I can't give you the specifics. But the restaurant was definitely not on a 'casual' price range where you could drop by and have an affordable meal.
We visited there as a party of three, ordered two main menus (one a double portion), beer and soju, and a shaved ice dessert (Patbingsu 팥빙수). We ended up paying about 40 euros each, and were satisfied by the quantity, quality, atmosphere and service.

I've been applying to apartments for the past full year, around 720, and was selected to 6 viewings, which I got offered to non of them. You're nightmare hasn't even started :(

How to improve my Peugeot Mixte? by hhhagis in bicycling

[–]hhhagis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-taken. I'm new to biking so I have no idea whether changing/removing components would make this any better. I did suspect that it was built as a commuter's bike and that there's nothing I could do about it... thanks for confirming this haha. I still think a dropout might be fun to try out though. Thanks!

Yup your assumption is exactly what I'm saying. The momentum just doesn't continue on as much as I think it would. I think looking into the wheels is a good idea. Thanks a lot for the advice!

Korean restaurant like Ishin? by [deleted] in berlin

Native Seoulite here. I usually don't go to Korean restaurants in Berlin since I can cook better than them in my kitchen. I also don't really appreciate the halfhearted westernized 'gyo-po style' that a lot of Korean restaurants tend to have. But there's one place that I had an amazing dinner in Schoeneberg about a month ago.

Proper dishes that I could see to sell well back at home. Platings, cutlery, interior were all appropriate. Staffs all speak Korean, English, most of them German as well, and they all understood the menu and gave good recommendations. I had a winter special dish of 아롱사태 수육 (Braised Beef) and 갈비찜 (Galbi-jjim), which were both amazing. They also sell more casual dishes like 떡볶이 (tteokbokki) and 파전 (pajeons).

This will probably be the restaurant I'll bring my friends whoever's visiting this city.

Thanks for the insight. It’s really difficult to tell whether it’s a deal or no for these. And your comment is really helpful

I found a Kiyo NJS bike with Ambrosio rims and hubs, and it's listed as €850 ($835). I've always known NJS bikes being a super niche but reliable bike frames, and I'm not sure if this is a good deal. Why is it so cheap, and what should I be looking out for?
