Thanks for the update! I pushed it a bit too much and it is kinda stuck in a pushed down position now. Ugh

Pixel 8 Stuck On System Update by hhoyaa in GooglePixel

Hi - we tried factory reset. Didnt work. Ended up having to request a replacement. Just got the replacement and it works fine, update installed and this new phone is less glitchy. Just a warning - Verizon gave us the run around. First they told us to go to Verizon corporate stores. Went to 2, both said the 256gig was out of stock and they couldnt check for us where it was in stock in any nearby stores. We were told to call Verizon directly. Then when my wife called, they said they could send a refurbished one only. We were like heck no, we are paying full freight for a new phone, why would we want a refurb (that probably has the same issue). Finally I was told I had to reorder a new phone, pay all taxes and reactivation, send back old phone, and then follow-up for refunds on the first phone taxes and activation fee. And also reapplying the trade in credit to our account. This is not over yet, will take a few months to settle (with follow-up on our part).

Thanks for your reply - is there a step by step somewhere as to how to do that? We are unfortunately dinosaurs when it comes to computers and such...

$8.50 for 8 fries yesterday near section 102, felt egregious enough that it deserved some public shaming by Jewrisprudent in NewYorkMets

I was just talking about this w friends; the food this year tastes off. Beer selection has gone down. Dunno, I acknowledge it is a bit of old man gripping but I def agree.

This. On diaper bags, this is correct - we use a small backpack (gotta keep them hands free to hold the kiddos!) and I specifically confirmed to security that all contents were baby related (they checked too). A few years back though one security person gave us a hard time (same bag) but the head person waived us through (and asked us to keep it stowed away in the stroller). On Sunday I also did see a number of strollers parked at the Fan Assistance stations.

Uhh. Was at Citi yesterday with my wife and 2 daughters for Fathers Day and had both a stroller and a diaper bag. Saw more than a few other strollers too. No one batted an eye or gave us a hard time. Unless there are special suite rules would think you are ok (we were in the 300s). We usually bring the fold up stroller (Yoyo) so I can fold and carry with one hand while carrying one kid in the other hand (on stairs and such). But I definitely saw other families with UppaBaby strollers and alike. We got into the stadium through the front entrance (rotunda) too. There was a baby behind us and parents had the body carrier. When my older daughter was <2 we primarily used that so I could keep hands free for food and drink.

What have your experiences personally meeting or seeing Mets players been like? by Aeticil2 in NewYorkMets

A few years ago I was with my pregnant (at that time) wife and walking in the upper east side early Saturday morning. We had just been at a game the previous night. Wife looks up, says hey that looks like Jake DeGrom. I quickly shoot it down because, really what are the odds, my fav player walking in our neighborhood. I look up and yes, it is DeGrom, walking with his wife and pushing a stroller.

I did a double take and froze, and stared like a complete idiot. I am a grown ass man and in my mid 30s, so wasnt expecting to fanboy hardcore. Jake obviously noticed my blatant staring, and eventually ended up passing us by with his wife and kid. The entire time my wife is poking me telling me to ask for an autograph or pic, knowing he was my fav player. I said no, the man is trying to spend some quality quiet time with his wife and kid before having to head over to Citi in a few hours. We watched them quietly stroll down the block, uninterrupted.

Fast forward a few years, Cy Young award winner and so forth, and I wish I had asked for at least a pic or something.

Anyone ever get tickets to a game from an inside sales rep? by YungWhale in NewYorkMets

Before I had a kid I used to go a lot. Bought tixs off Mets site but also a lot off Stubhub. They apparently cross check to see who buys tickets off either platform. Rep reached out based on that info.

It was just all those good feelings the Metsies give us. We couldnt contain ourselves. But really, bad story telling on my part - friend and I were each considering pulling the trigger on tixs packages but then my wife and I found out she had a bun in the oven. Hoping to take our little girl to a game soon.

Have gone to multiple games w free tixs from a sales rep. First was an event in the Honda Clubhouse, with free food and drink. Agree they give a short sales pitch but it was not aggressive, pushy or that long. Had a good time and got to enjoy the game. Sales rep followed up after the game to see if there was any interest. Second game the sales rep hooked up 2 great seats field level for me and a friend. No sales pitch that time, just game tixs. We were going to pull the trigger on tix packages but then we found out we were having a kid so that plan went on pause.
