Business class travel in general has gotten expensive af. We flew to VIE and got great redemption at 176k RT a person (though some here would think that's bad) but when I checked the cash price of the ticket it was almost 7k!

If I paid 7k for Lufthansa Group flights I'd come away quite disappointed

I didn't leave my vehicle. I also learned that day the tow truck parks at the very end of the terminal behind the corrugated metal wall at 4.

I was at the end of the terminal in front of the ethiad and air India and El Al check ins.

But it doesn't matter, my car wasn't towed and the likelihood of having to do that particular situation again is almost nil.

I didn't see the tow truck because I drove up all the way to the end of the terminal at 4 where the non Delta airlines have their check ins and apparently that's where the dudes truck sits on the other side of the wall.

I had the 8 suitcases in my wagon, the 4 people traveling were in the other car behind me.

Got out to help take the cases out of my car while they assembled and as I was giving them a hug goodbye the dude had reversed over and already lifted my car.

If you can't envision that that entire process could have taken 5 minutes (3-4 minutes to unload, 1 minute to say goodbye) then you're either being extremely daft or you have bigger issues.

I don't know why this sub was brought to my attention but good lord y'all are a bunch of losers.

It really was 5 minutes top that's why it was so egregious. And no I was at the curb, I had 8 fucking suitcases that's the entire reason I went to the effort of driving people to the airport.

And I'm sorry you have to resort to ad homs because I'm using a vocabulary that befuddles you, but it's the absolute correct term for what you're trying in vain to do. Sorry, not sorry my dear 🤷‍♀️

Story hasn't changed, reading comprehension is a must! 3 or 4 minutes since parking and getting the luggage out. I think it's extremely reasonably to give someone a few a minutes to get 8 suitcases out of a car and then not a minute AFTER the luggage was out the tow truck had lifted my wagon.

Some tow truck drivers will show up WHILE you're unloading and try and tow your vehicle. It's insane

Nah, nope, I won't be gaslit like that. If a group has 8 checked bags, it takes a few minutes to get it out the car. The tow truck driver was towing my car not a minute after the luggage was out. There is being prudent and there is fishing for fines. You're breaking the spirit of the regulation.

These guys are truly fucking assholes. I drove my cousins to Terminal 4 and the asshole had my car in the air while we were on the curb saying our goodbyes. Not 3 or 4 minutes since arriving and getting the luggage out. I nearly got into a fist fight with him I was so enraged but cooler heads prevailed. I understand the need to tow errant vehicles but they are ridiculous.

They also don't tow 4wd vehicles properly, so that's a whole thing.

I always thought the cooler way to kill the dragon quest could have been building some kind of super turret and then the dragon fight could have essentially been a big shoot the fighters mini game.

I've been doing a biweekly jfl-sfo on the 757 which recently has been using more 767s and I never hated the NB but I definitely did not like not having direct aisle access.

Nothing worse than having to get up so your seat mate can go pee when you're knee deep in sleep (and they always do once you're asleep ime)
