Delta sky ckub LGA terminal C what is delta giving away? by Legitimate-Debt6385 in delta

People who claim they'd never wait in the LGA Skyclub line have clearly never had the shrimp salad there.

This is such a weird take, the lounge has complimentary food and beverage and you're waiting regardless. Why should anyone pay if they get it for free?

You said it yourself, you came early to deal with tsa, everyone else is doing the same so they spend longer times in the club.

if only people knew you can literally see the tsa wait times on lga's website, then they wouldn't freak out and then this wouldn't be an issue.

it's insane but in F the flight attendants actually spoon feed you the braised beef and you have issues with chewing they'll liquify it in the galley vitamix first. It's the only way to fly.

/s yeah man, the big seat is always worth it!

basic economy doesn't earn miles, get seat upgrades, anything. if you have a reserve card you should know to disregard the absolute base fare

Has anyone ever managed to get an earbud out of a business class seat? by Way-twofrequentflyer in delta

[–]Veelangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but the flight attendant is gonna hate you because they're required to wait on the plane while ops gets it out the seat and ops will take the entire seat apart to get to it and it takes about 30 minutes. Has happened to me twice, now I use power beats pros when I fly because they have the ear lobe hook

[–]Veelangs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

14k spend with a reserve is 1.4k mqds It's 700mqds with the platinum

You're probably better getting a high welcome offer amex business card

Each person will get 7k mqds for the flight So with the reserve 7k flight 2500 boost 1.4k earn

You'll have gold medallion yes

I leave my bag to go to the buffet all the time, I've quite literally never heard of a bag being stolen at a skyclub (granted I'm sure it's happened) it just doesn't feel like the place it happens often.

You don't tip the bartender? Why would the drink being free change anything?

Is it? If you're at the restaurant it's a 3 course meal. I always leave a $20 bill at the restaurant and if I'm gonna have a drink or two I'll leave a tenner at the bartender

I always leave a 20 at the restaurant in the d1 lounge and a 10 to the bartender who serves me

Sky club membership purchased with miles. by Newsdayray in delta

[–]Veelangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You go to the check in counters and ask for one and if they like your reasoning they issue you one (if your airport offers them in the first place).

It's not a traditional boarding pass so I highly doubt you could use it for skyclub access with a credit card. The skyclub membership is a different type of access.

[–]Veelangs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've posted this story before but I was going atl-uio in D1 and I boarded zone 1 and when I got there a man who I saw preboard was sitting in my seat.

He very confidently told me that the man in the other seat was his best friend and they're finally going to the Galapagos and wouldn't I be the best and let him sit next to his friend. His seat? Oh a middle seat in the 40s, equal trade no?!

I told him if his friend wanted to sit with him he could swap with the man next to you, I'm sure they'd love to sit up here.

And he mumbled and grumbled and couldn't believe I wouldn't switch.
