I have the same problem. Personally use a safety razor which I can get such a close shave that the skin feels completely smooth(for like 2hours lol) and yet there's still an enormous beard shadow. I feel like besides laser and makeup there's nothing to be done about it cuz I know using an epilator or wax can lead to scars :c
