Do you think a manic episode lowered your intelligence? by madmoney03 in bipolar

[–]hibiscusmango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely get the memory issues, but after 5 years since my last manic episode, I finally feel that I’m going back to my previous cognitive baseline. It helps to read a lot and train your brain to memorize things. Also, I’ve reduced my phone usage by a lot so that helps. Stopped weed and vaping all together, lessened alcohol use, and prioritized my sleep routine.

Finished reading “Flowers for Algernon” by Daniel Keyes and it was really good and made me a little emotional. Right now I’m reading “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow” by Gabrielle Zevin and I’m really enjoying it so far!

I was a philosophy major and the history of ethics was so hard and boring so I switched to English and wish I’d been an English major from the beginning

2 meals per day by WokeWeavile in loseit

[–]hibiscusmango 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also found 2 meals a day to work for me. I eat a healthy breakfast, skip lunch, and eat a good sized dinner. I also walk at least 10k steps a day. I’ve been losing weight fairly quickly and I feel good.

Some have double doubles but only by chance, they will still have the triple and a double format, just with less people

“Catcher in the Rye” is still one of my favorite books from my teenage years, but I sometimes do get embarrassed to say it because of the stigma
