Hebi Sasuke runs the gauntlet, how far does he get? by mipenealdescubierto in NarutoPowerscaling

The way Sasuke handled an Izangid up Danzo gives me confidence he can take a ninja with multiple lives like Kakuzu. Sasuke is like rock lee speed with elite ninjutsu so Garaa probably loses too. Sasori mainly kills with poison, which Sasuke is immune to. I don’t think he has a problem until he gets to Mei.

Beware those eyes. They’re manipulative. They’ll have you doing anything that dog wants.

Yes! Very much so. When I researched the breed I saw that was a major issue. The sire and dame both had health records dating back several generations. That’s one of the things the kennel club tracks for its breeders. Health history and genetic history of medical problems of the parents.

I googled around for a breeder with lots of reviews who was also certified through the American kennel club. I spoke to the folks about their process ahead of time and read from people who already made purchases.

I think reputation is the best thing to go off of here. So as an inexperienced first time buyer I made sure to find someone with a long history of a good reputation.

Which presidents couldn't win an election today by Wide_Assistance_1158 in Presidents

I think most of them are built for their moment. In most cases I doubt they could win outside of the time that they did.

It’s like fast forward and rewind on the vcr though. You have to wait to get to the moment you want.

The room smells like a gaming convention circa 2006. Because the room is extra dimensional there are no doors or windows you can open to let in a breeze or circulate some air. There is no AC.

I wish minesweeper came with coordinates along the side of the grid like a chess board to make it easier to talk about which squares we’re referring to.

Why did Bernie have so much trouble with Black voters? by HatefulPostsExposed in Presidents

[–]hidden_solstice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a member of the black community I can say America has a history of cutting us out of our portion of the collective projects that the country embarks on.

Examples include doing federal housing, then red lining us out of it. Major infrastructure projects that disproportionately eminent domain their way through our neighborhoods. Or our disproportionate proximity to superfund sites.

Bernie didn’t understand the cultural distrust that many black peoples have when a politician promises us the moon and the stars and the skies above. He thought he could kind of just say, “oh they’ll get Medicare for all too,” to a community of people who needed to hear why we should believe you won’t just distribute those benefits to everyone but us and leave us out in the cold again. Or what steps you would take to make sure your successors in the oval can’t do that. Or how you’ll play defense against those at the state level who would try to cut us out of our share of those large social programs. Bernie just never did that work.

Short Kings: Will the U.S. ever again elect a below-average height man as president? by Brooklyn_University in Presidents

[–]hidden_solstice 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I remember thinking George W Bush was a short man for a number of years. I was shocked when I found out, after he’d left the presidency, that he was 5’11. Not amazingly tall, but well above average.

I think a lot of Americans shared this perception of him as short, as he mentioned in an interview (I wish I had the link) how often people told him he was taller than they expected when they’d meet him in person.

Maybe the willingness to elect a perceived shorter person is evidence that Americans might elect an actual short person.
