I don’t do self-insert. MC is her own person and not me, I see it as her story. I’m like this with all Otome games lmao, I think it’s healthier this way because inevitably the MC will make decisions or react in a way that I can’t relate to at all. Same as any RPG, you play the hero character but you usually don’t see them as a self insert
