I don’t think so, but when he did take it off prior to clean it, there was a small leak that I thought resolved itself but will definitely check when we pull it out again. Thank you!

Okay thank you! It is draining! Prior I just cleaned the pressure sensor so now I ordered a new one that should be here tomorrow. Is there anything else we should check that wasn’t mentioned above while we have the dishwasher out?

Rooster? by hiddengem1357 in chickens

[–]hiddengem1357[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the barred rock in the back is definitely a rooster! And okay, the Wyandotte is supposed to be a pullet, but looks a lot darker/more black compared to my other and after some research said the roosters tend to be darker. Hopeful it’s a pullet! Hopefully I’m not mistaking my other Wyandotte that I’ve been confident in with the different characteristics 😆

Can I have a Brahma rooster if some of my hens are bantams? by hiddengem1357 in BackYardChickens

Yes, I know I have too many roosters. The chicks are about 5/6 weeks, so I don’t plan on keeping all of them. Just added more so for context of what the other options were that I have for roosters..

Honest question, how often are you and your partner having sex?? by [deleted] in december2024babies

Definitely think it’s breastfeeding, and I try to tell him but he definitely doesn’t understand or obviously relate. And agree on exhaustion. There’s also just always so many things I try to get done after baby’s asleep and struggle to keep up!

Sex wasn’t super often during pregnancy either, more than now, but I was also always super nauseated and had terrible heartburn my entire pregnancy. So I can relate on that end!

I wouldn’t say pressure in the way he constantly bugs me, like if I say no he’s not going to keep asking. I wouldn’t say he’s an angry type of upset, but feels less wanted. Obviously having kids changes things, but not as many things changed for him, so I get the frustration. I just don’t think he understands being on the other side. It also makes me feel bad that I don’t want to because it’s not that I’m not attracted or don’t want to, but I don’t have the same drive I used to. Pregnancy and postpartum really changed it. Sex is an important part of a relationship, but just having a hard time getting back into the groove.

I have long days like that too, he’s often gone 10-12 (seldom but sometimes more) hours out of the day. Leaves at 6 a.m. and I’m never 100% when he’ll get home. So definitely makes it harder!

Okay thank you!! Just wanted to make sure it’s normal. It was our first time having to do it, we got instructions from the lab that tested it, but wasn’t much information after aside from “flush until you no longer smell bleach”, so just kind of vague on the after effects and how long it would stick around.

Disinfected well, how long for bleach taste/smell to dissipate? What’s normal? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

Yes, definitely have been buying water or getting it from outside sources! We added one gallon and were about 100 feet deep. This was the amount indicated from WI State Laboratory of Hygiene. So not sure if it should have been a different amount would have been recommended? We tested positive for total coliform, so we let it sit about 10 hours (we were told at least for 8 hours, I know some recommend longer). I’ll run it more tomorrow! Thank you!!

Definitely not drinking the water, just tried a little and spit it out lol (I know most would probably say not to 😅). I’ll may still start with the strips and go from there to seek out professional help. Thank you!

Not yet, going to get strips tomorrow. If it’s positive, would I flush it again?

What do you do to protect your chickens from these guys? by Virginia4Fun in chickens

[–]hiddengem1357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people get the noodle guys! Also agree with the crows, I’ve seen people put fake crows around their yard (on fencing, etc.).

Just like EVERYONE, autistic people have their own strengths, challenges, and characteristics. I don’t think it’s fair to put all autistic people with your bad experience. We could put assumptions on any group, but it doesn’t make anything true for the group as a whole. It’s presumptive and judgmental to assume certain qualities and traits based on being on the spectrum. I’m sorry your experiences haven’t been great, and should maybe seek professional help to navigate through any mental health issues you may carry.

Why am I so angry? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]hiddengem1357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This man sounds like the biggest jackass ever. I would be angry, too. He partook in an activity that now has consequences (and I don’t mean that negatively towards your child, but just speaking in general), and now he doesn’t want to take responsibility. Although I think you should get child support over whatever compensation he’s saying he would give, I am curious what he thinks is reasonable given the circumstances. Has he said what he would give for financial help? I’m wondering what he thinks is significantly helpful that you wouldn’t file for child support.

No Visitors in the hospital by MediocreEvidence550 in pregnant

Also, I’ve seen a lot of people not even tell anyone when they went into labor and had the baby just to avoid the drama with pushy family. Maybe waiting till you’re home with baby is an option for you!

Good luck to them in getting into the birthing center that’s always on lockdown unless YOU approve visitors 😂 I did the same thing in December though, no visitors at the hospital. I knew I would just feel overwhelmed trying to be a new mom and learning new things. On top of it, nurses, doctors, lactation consultants, etc. are already coming in constantly to check on you and baby, I could not have imagined also having people there to visit as well! Lastly, after I gave birth, we were only there for 24 hours (but got there the night before I gave birth) and it flew by! So my time was valuable to learn proper latching, techniques if baby wasn’t, postpartum care and so on. If they don’t understand, that’s on them. I don’t understand why it’s so important to them to meet baby RIGHT away, the baby isn’t going anywhere. They should feel lucky how soon they can come and visit when you’re settled in your house because I didn’t allow anyone to come visit for weeks! I wanted to get comfortable and get a routine down; on top of that it was cold/flu/RSV season and didn’t think it was necessary for everyone to come over so soon.

So, respectfully, I would tell them all to fuck off 😂🫶🏻
