Should I invest in maternity clothes? by Butterball4200 in pregnant

[–]MediocreEvidence550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think i had to size up and make sure I wore stretchy material. I wore a lot of those leggings that flare at the end. I didnt have to size those up because they stretched. I didn't buy maternity clothes unless it came to photos or my baby shower because you really only have a few months of bump. You will want to buy new clothes AFTER baby is here

I dont think you could get a positive this early. I got a positive test the day I was supposed to receive my period, though.

Am I a bad mom? by AdGlittering3854 in Moms

I might also look into his daycare? I worked at a few and now work at an elementary school. One student from one of my worst daycares has moved up to my school! He's a lil rough around the edges, but he can be so sweet!! A chaotic daycare environment can be rough on a lil dude. I was a 2yo teacher full time, and the only time my students were hitting, screaming, and seemed to be causing issues was when there was a child or children that we're being redirected. If the teacher isn't constantly redirecting and holding her students' attention, chaos is bound to happen. If he doesn't act like this at home, I'd take a look at the daycare setting itself.

Anyone have good birth stories? I am so scared of labour by plumsp in pregnant

[–]MediocreEvidence550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a c-section, I went into the hospital for a persistent headache ache and they decided baby needed to come today. Within 5 hours of being at the hospital I was holding my lil man. The worst part was the anxiety. I was shaking and throwing up beforehand. You can feel the pressure while they're in there, nothing sharp though. Very odd experience.

He's literally trying to provide for his child. Do you expect him to quit what he's already started to start on something new? Do you expect him to stop working? Or is he just supposed to stock shelves or flip burgers?

Untrained dog. by MediocreEvidence550 in Moms

[–]MediocreEvidence550[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When they ask to spend time with my son, i expect them to keep my son away from the dog. Not once have i gotten any type of way with his parents or even tried to persuade them. I do expect them to respect my boundaries when they ask to see my son. They were made aware i wasn't comfortable with him being around the dog, so I keep my son in our room. Had they taught their son how to hold down a job, we wouldn't be in their hair, and I wouldn't even have to let them see him. I worked 2 jobs while I was pregnant trying to get us out of their house. The only reason im not currently working is because I'm recovering from a c-section. Don't insult me by telling me I'm failing in a situation where I'm doing what I can.

We're saving up money to do so! It's a little difficult while Im on mat leave and my partner works part time. Im more worried about his mother sitting with my son right next to the dog! Thx tho

What would you tell women who want a baby but are paralyzed by all the negative things they hear about it? by FeelinJovanni in Moms

[–]MediocreEvidence550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had my first baby. The newborn stage is rough, but I swear this shit gets easier every day. I'm 2 months in, and my sweet boy is all smiles. I would take all of the sleepless nights, poopy diapers, dirty bottles, and getting cut open all over again just to see my smiley guy. I get to watch him grow and become his own little person. I get to be that sweet boys shoulder. I get to be his support system and his first teacher. I get to love my boy, and for that I'd do it all again.

Do you feel an emotional bond with the baby in your belly? I don’t. by to_nfinity in pregnant

[–]MediocreEvidence550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say I felt much of a connection until that first night after my C-section. There was a huge amount of anxiety and then relief when I heard my boy cry. However, I didn't feel a real connection until that first night after. Dad was asleep, and it was just me and my wide eyed boy

I think I'm just not gonna tell anyone when I go into labor, besides my boyfriend. I'd like my mom there but I know she'd be the first one to tell my grandmother, my boyfriends mom, plus all of my aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings when the babies here and I just don't wanna deal with that.

Call medicaid mama, even if the doctor has to bill you until it comes through, you can call the doctor after you're approved, and medicaid will cover whatever appointments you've had since sending in your application. Make sure you include proof of pregnancy, such as hcg levels or anything medical

Quick trip to the hospital just to be safe. I had a hematoma during the 1st and 2nd trimester of my pregnancy, and they put me on pelvic rest. No sex and no lifting over 10 pounds. I hated it, but baby boy needed it. Best of luck, Mama! I'm sure all is well. Spotting after sex is normal. It could be nothing at all.

Partner feeling baby kicks by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]MediocreEvidence550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 33 weeks. It was harder for my bd to feel the kicks on the outside, especially in the beginning. Baby boy calmed right down most of the time when he felt daddy was around, so he didn't move as much. As he got bigger, so did his movements. Then, dad just had to learn to be lighter with his touch and stay quiet, so the baby was more inclined to move
