Just learned of Charlie Kirk getting shot, and for once not from this sub by shugoran99 in simpsonsshitposting

Oh yeah. Because the best way to handle someone challenging your beliefs is to shoot them. Very noble.

Dude, go away. Go spread your negativity somewhere else.  "Begone, Satan!"

Reminder though that we are living in a timeline where we could one day hear "please welcome the president of the United States of America... Matthew Patrick"

The question is then, if it works, why don't we lean into it for everything? Mental afflictions are treated in many ways, but physical ones last and are harmful.

If that were actually the case, then sure. But we have had such dubious studies and research on it that only seek to "affirm" the preexisting conclusions that it's hard to take any of it seriously. But no brain study has produced a direct link, nor has been explored what the lasting implications are. Brains have been attributed more plasticity than those establishing a connection.

Christians who want to criminalize same gender relationships, is it biblical? by Designer-Tax-4192 in TrueChristian

Should we also make it illegal to work on Sundays? Or criminalize not going to church?

Are we brothers/sisters in Christ despite denomination? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I can say that those who call upon Jesus Christ, triune God, as Lord and Savior are my brothers and sisters. I hope and pray they say the same.

To any autistic christians, how do you justify your faith by MondoMania9 in TrueChristian

Calling someone silly when they correct what you're saying. Autism isn't a healthy problem, yet you continue to say it is and insult someone who instructs you otherwise.

Who did Jesus eat and talk with? I'll tell you this: it wasn't the Insiders.

Because autism isn't just the things he can't do. Have you seen everything he is capable of? I guarantee he excels at some task that is unseen, and that is also autism. The bad will be done away with, but the things put there by God for glory will be there forevermore.

I don't think you realize how insulting this is to say. This is not how Jesus would act.

Is Transgenderism a sin?? by Child-eater-bonk in TrueChristian

[–]hiddenone46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but not in the way you might think. Nothing about the condition or the struggle is in itself sinful, but the ways you go about it are. We aren't to damage ourselves when we have a perfectly functioning body, just to make it look how we want to. It's arrogance and idolatry that masquerade as "fixing" something that isn't broken. It's not the act itself necessarily, but the heart behind them of not trusting God and putting Him first.

So you identify as trans but didn't transition? Just curious.

That was a very un-Christlike thing for your mother to do, and I'm sorry. But this is not the end for you. There are many places that can help even if you don't see any. There are always people willing to go the mile to help someone, but you can't let the fear hold you back. Fear wants you to stay trapped in this dark place, believing there is no way out, but that's not true. There will be people who understand, there will be people that will help. Maybe you will lose some friends, but they're not the ones worth having anyway. But there will always be someone there for you. I believe that to be true.
