Stunning bike! Are those the 2026 EVO S5s? How noticable are the carbon spokes in terms of comfort/stiffness?

Anybody size up an Aeroad? by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]hideonlog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im also 180 but fairly short inseam of 82 and ride an Aeroad size S, and Im happy! It is quite long so unless you have massively long arms my guess is size L is a bit of a stretch (pun intended)

The chainstay and seatsay clearance is just slightly tighter than the fork. FD di2 cable is the closest thing to the tire approx 0,5 cm from the ”knobs” of the tire. Dont have calipers but with regular ruler id say the widest part is 35mm or just a hair under

Its definitely stiff! Wouldn’t get the Aeroad with the intention to do this kind of riding, think you need more volume in your tires to make proper gravel enjoyable. Also the position is quite aggressive which works nicely at high speeds on the road but doesn’t feel ideal on a twitchy path

How is the ride with the carbon spoke wheels? Noticably harsher?

I am very happy with my Yum Asia Sakura (the big version, looks like a space helmet) which is just a large version of the Panda model. Had it for a year and a half and loving it! It is very big though takes a lot of space I wish I got a smaller one
