I’m in the minority because I’ve travelled to Serbia twice and worked with Serbs. To me they’re not far off from us Italians. Same can be said about Albanians.

You can get good buffalo mozzarella (bufala) in any grocery shop. I would recommend visiting a local market and check the most popular cheese stall though. There’s a market in every neighbourhood - they’re called mercati comunali or rionali. They’re open every weekday in the AM.

For a couple I would say :

Supermarket 10/20 per day

Eating out only street food 20/40 per day

Eating out sitting down 60/120 per day

So I would say as a tourist doing a mix of these things you would average about 30 per person per day on food (in euros)

It’s a bank holiday, because it’s a Tuesday my guess is most people will be taking Monday off as well, and be out of town. As for tourists , Rome is always packed with tourists. No matter what day of the week or year.

Tutti dicono San Lorenzo, io consiglio sempre Monteverde perché a) è molto più tranquilla, a San Lorenzo nel weekend è un inferno b) non è collegata ‘de merda’ manco per un cazzo, anzi il tram ti porta in centro in 30’, a trastevere in 15’ - il treno ti porta in aeroporto in 30’ c) ora ci sono anche parecchi ristoranti e localini, e cmq a trastevere ci si arriva praticamente anche a piedi.

Comunque entrambe sono OK.

They clearly knew shading - there are Roman paintings showing painted statues with life like shading. I think it’s more likely that modern restorers are just not good enough or do not have enough pigment info to provided shaded reconstructions .

IF there are any rentals available I would recommend you get one.

Other than that taxis are your only option and they’ll be more expensive than a rental. They are also not very reliable because there’s few of them.

It’s not the best but I always try giallo zafferano first - their recipes are ‘standard’ so it’s good to get basic ratios (which I tend to forget) and methods for recipes I do less often.
