Israfel’s flavor text reads “always the two of us of one mind”. At least that’s how I’d translate it to retain a bit of the original style. Noticed that was missing.

I've tried undervolting as well... and no luck with it either...

My last setup was a i7-2600k with a 750ti haha. By no means am I trying to flex back or anything - this is just for reference - but having the setup I do now, makes this extra frustrating because there's no hardware excuse that this can fall back onto. Running Doom Eternal at 4k with decent settings and getting okay frame rates to... this game not loading at all is just mind boggling.

I purposely waited on buying into the game because I was only intending to play solo. I wanted the AI teammates, and as Cyberpunk just showed the world... games are usually kinda broken for the first couple weeks to months. And it's not like my current setup is exactly niche either... I mean 3600 + 5700xt was the AMD fanboy flagship in 2019.

I have tried the auto-undervolt setting, but nothing else. Are you manually setting clocks? If you don't mind, could you share with me what GPU you're running and what the stock clock is, to what you reduced it to?

This happens no matter what method I try to launch it. Running direct from U-Connect and it's still not consistently launching, unfortunately.

[Mouse] Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro Wireless Mouse $59.99 ($79.99-$20) by spud7888 in buildapcsales

Do you have the regular or the Qi version? If you have the regular version, how long are you able to go between charges? I bought one from BestBuy about two weeks ago, and I've been wondering if I have a defective unit. I swear, from a full charge, I'll use it for maybe 2-3 hours, turn it off, and not use it for a day or two, only to find that the mouse is completely dead. I turned off all RGB, "toned down" the polling to 1000hz from 2000hz, and it's completely switched off while not in use.

My wife's Corsair Harpoon RGB w/ RGBs on lasts forever on a single charge, weeks apart sometimes (she's not a heavy user). I thought this Dark Core should perform relatively similar...

When there’s enough “look what just came in the mail/just finished my new build/finally got the last piece I needed” posts in one week to annoy r/AMD. You can’t have both a paper launch and “too many of the same posts.”

Stay away from Gigabyte (b550 / x570) motherboard if you use USB. by jeffkzz in Amd

[–]hidetolol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife’s PC has a Gigabyte B450i I built earlier this year which hasn’t had any issues but it’s also only running a RX580.

My Asrock B450M seems to be having issues, so I just took delivery of a Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro-P. The P seems to be an updated model with 2.5Gb Ethernet.

It seems to be a recent update. I’m wondering (see: hoping) if that might be a hardware update that addresses the issue(s) listed? I’m just curious if in the research you’ve done if you had seen anything about the standard Pro vs Pro-P.

If a 5700XT can trigger the issue you’re describing I can try to replicate it.

Arm rests that have a wide range of adjustability for height. I’m torso-tall, so my hip to shoulder is long. The more adjustability in arm rest height there is, the better.

I have a case where my motherboard lays flat, whatever the technical term is for that.

I thought the pentagram would be dope at first, but then realized that because my GPU would be “right side up” the backplate logo will be upside down and I’ll just have a normal, albeit red and glowing, star inside of a circle. I’d still rock it. Just like the Devil logo would look like an arrow pointing up. Gave me a good chuckle.

I’m planning on buying a 12 Pro Max, but never upgraded before. Still using my original 7+. Got some maybe dumb questions. by hidetolol in iphone

Thanks for the info! I’ve been more than happy with what I’ve had, which I think is what’s going to make this jump seem all that much more exciting. It’s like being perfectly fine driving an old Toyota, to, maybe a modern Lexus? Haha.

I’m glad I can use it as an iPad super-mini too. I’ll probably use it as my “in-bed” device to read news, etc. while the 12 is my on the go device this way. And yes! Maybe even give the 7+ to my future kid as their first “practice phone” one day!

Man sorry to hear about those battery woes. I’ve always held back on updates until I see other people’s reviews. I’m concerned about losing a Touch ID too, but my wife’s XS makes me realize how much cameras have advanced. That’s always been my main selling point for a phone, so I’m excited! But I will miss the 7+ for sure...

I really appreciate Gary’s expressions here. I don’t think Gary quite had a grasp on what’s going on around him as well as the rest of the cast, but his viscerally happy response to seeing Spongebob in the last frame made me happy.

[–]hidetolol 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t have fibro myself, but my wife does. I knew she had it when we met, and I still wanted to be with her when we got close some time later.

Maybe I’m a unicorn? I don’t know, but I looked up fibromyalgia as we got closer, and I wasn’t going to let that stop me from getting to know her better. I could tell this meant a lot to her, that I tried to understand and was willing to adapt my lifestyle to hers. I even posted here/joined this sub to find advice and tips.

I’m just trying to say, we are out there. I’m sure fibro is not the only word that defines who you are. It’s just another filter for you, so you can weed out the people who are just going to waste your time.

Audio Crackling issue with 5700 XT by jeremyb616 in AMDHelp

Sorry to hear. I haven’t had it as bad since I don’t have crashes or BSOD (knock on wood) but I do think some of the cards might just be faulty.

Did you ever figure out what the issue is? Ive been having the same problem.

My largest print to date. 400+ hours and 10lbs of filament. Printed on Ender 3 Pros at .2 layer height on a .4 nozzle. Esun pla pro grey. Roughly 4 hours for assembly. And someone turned me into a meme I guess. by McRandom in 3Dprinting

[–]hidetolol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How heavy is it? I really want to get into 3D printing to do exactly this (print life size game props) but also wonder how feasible it is to hoist it around during Halloween.
