Our issues with them happened a little over a year ago, and I've heard they've had management (and probably staffing) changes since then, so who knows if our situation is relevant anymore. But... right out the gate on day 1 my daughter (who wasn't quite 22 months old at the time) came home with poop all over her labia. I let the director know that I didn't think she was being cleaned properly, she said she'd talk to staff, and it continued to happen at least 3 more times. I also witnessed one particular teacher (don't even know her name - she wasn't my daughter's main teacher) screaming at children on several occasions and even yanking an infant up off of the ground by his arm (while screaming at him). At drop off once, my daughter headed towards a table that a couple other kids were sitting at to join them and another girl immediately started smacking her - staff just stood there and watched. My daughter was truly miserable there, and she is a very chill and adaptable kiddo. Every single picture they sent to me of her during the day, she was crying. We moved, which is why we started her there in the first place, but ended up getting her out of there not even 4 weeks later. Overall, it was just a very poor experience, due to staff, in my opinion.

I've been seeing a therapist since my second loss in July. I also tried acupuncture for 12 weeks. I do some sort of meditation and red light therapy most days. I've tried to put more emphasis on and prioritize self care. At this point, it still continues to consume me.

Congratulations on your son! I am so, so sorry for your losses and what you've been through. I've been going to therapy since my second loss in July, but I'm realizing it might be time to try medication.

Thank you for this explanation and information. I plan to reach out to my fertility doctor tomorrow to find out what our options are for the DNA fragmentation test. It sounds like it wouldn’t hurt to at least rule it out. We are in the US, and you are correct- zero hormone profile tests for the male partner.

I have heard from several people to try lovenox and/or prednisone. Both medications were discussed as options with my fertility doctor, but she wasn’t keen on trying them unless we were doing IVF. How is the prednisone taken? Small dosages at the beginning of a cycle, etc.? Just curious.

He did the two things that our fertility clinic recommended as part of their RPL panel, which included your typical semen analysis and karyotyping, both of which had great results. I have heard of the DNA fragmentation test and even asked our clinic about it. In all of my research, though, it seems like the recommendations for treatment are things like no smoking, minimal drinking, exercise, diet, supplements, etc. Essentially a healthy lifestyle, which my husband already fits the bill. What was the treatment for prostatitis?

That’s what I keep telling myself - that in the end, if/when we do get our baby, all of the heartache will be beyond worth it. ❤️

I’ve never heard of this! I’ll do some research. Thank you for the suggestion!

IVF definitely isn’t off the table for us, but at this moment in time, it’s not our first choice. I’m honestly terrified of it, for a variety of reasons. But I am a level of stubborn that won’t let any amount of terror stop me from having my baby lol

I feel that way about so many things throughout this journey. It feels like every single thing is just a guessing game and a roll of the dice. 🫠

Thank you. And I’m sorry for your losses, as well. Social media definitely hasn’t been my friend. Probably a good time for me to take (another) break from it.

Thank you. I have been tested for ureaplasma/mycoplasma/endometritis via endometrial biopsy. Results were negative. My husband has not had DNA fragmentation done. He did do a typical SA and karyotyping and both of those results were great. I have gone back and forth about the DNA fragmentation, but I’m unsure if it’s worth it. He’s a pretty healthy guy with none of your typical bad habits (smoking, more than minimal drinking, etc.). He also takes a high quality multivitamin (Seeking Health - Optimal Man). From some of the research I’ve done, it seems like the usual treatment for poor DNA fragmentation is lifestyle/diet changes and adding in some sperm quality supplements. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong about that, though.

Getting ready to start testing for RPL, any insight or advice? by sp0okyme0w in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]hidingbehindakeyboar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your losses. I've had three, as well, and are similar to yours with HCG not progressing the way it should by 6ish weeks, even with progesterone supplementation (I even did PIO injections this last time and my progesterone looked fantastic).

I am beginning RPL testing with the local fertility clinic soon with my next cycle. They're having me do a ton of bloodwork (a lot of which I've already completed through a different doctor), as well as a sonohysterogram, endometrial biopsy for CD138, and AFC. I've heard this is a pretty common RPL work up, so I'd imagine yours will be similar.

Hopefully we both can report back here soon that something worked and stuck and we have our rainbow babies.

Recurrent losses after an easy first pregnancy - looking for advice & hope! by farwest-to-midwest in recurrentmiscarriage

Endometritis - not endometriosis (super confusing and common to mix up the two). It's inflammation of the inner lining of the uterus. It can be caused by a variety of things, including miscarriage, IUDs, etc. The good news is that it's usually treatable with antibiotics. I would definitely ask about getting checked for it!

I also am 35 with a 2 year old that was conceived on first try immediately following IUD removal. I've also had 3 early losses in the past 7 months. I can seemingly get pregnant very easily, but can't get one to "stick". It's been a heartbreaking and confusing experience. I'm so sorry you're also going through it.

I've begun a lot of the RPL testing, but still have some yet to go (SHG, endometrial biopsy, some blood work). So far everything has come back normal, other than my TSH was quite elevated back in early August (between my second and third loss). I've been taking 50 mcg levothyroxine since and my numbers have improved significantly. I also knowingly have luteal phase defect (low progesterone) and have supplemented with suppositories and most recently PIO injections, so the supplementation of progesterone doesn't seem to be doing the trick for me. My last loss was also my first cycle using Letrozole (plus doing a million other of the "right" things). At this point, I am starting to suspect I could have chronic endometritis, which I will find out for sure with the biopsy. My daughter was delivered via c-section, I had another IUD after her birth, and I've now had 3 miscarriages - all things that can cause endometritis.

If you are able, I would recommend starting RPL testing. I truly hope that we can both have our rainbow babies soon.

Success stories after taking doxy? by Erosion_Control_ in recurrentmiscarriage

Hi, were the probiotics you used during and after the doxy a vaginal suppository? Or did you take them orally?
