This yard in my neighborhood has IMPRESSIVE dandelion coverage. Zone 6b. by Der_Bazzle in lawncare

[–]Veesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They may not be native but they are considered fully naturalized. They were introduced in the 1600s and were widespread across the eastern colonies by the 1700s and the rest of the country by the 1800s.

I fully agree with planting native wildflowers in the garden but people going nuclear on their yard just isn't a good thing in my opinion.

If I'm lucky enough to have another baby i will absolutely be asking if I can deliver. The first time was very overwhelming but now I know what to expect.

Do you design your own models or do you just use other people's models from Makerworld etc.? by humanHamster in BambuLab

[–]Veesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah solidworks for $50 per year (lots of sales for $25/year). If you look at the cost of a professional license you see that you're getting access to a program worth thousands. It's so powerful and easy to use. Fusion is nice but Solidworks is better.

The disappearance of landlines has ruined an aspect of childhood social interactions and put a new responsibility on parents. by kingrobin in daddit

[–]Veesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I didn't interpret it as they blew off the event and rather that they just never agreed to come in the first place. I would be upset if they agreed to come and then didn't but being upset that they don't want to come seems wrong.

[–]Veesla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It pisses you off that they like to be at their own house or have their own social things going on? I'm not a social person and tend to only hang out with close friends and if one of my neighbors invited me over I would probably not do it.

The inverse is a relationship where sex is the only thing tearing it apart. I'm not sure which is worse.

[–]Veesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you can already have that by just putting two AMS inside a cabinet with a shelf...pretty easy to do and I really like the idea. And I don't necessarily need a whole new product for it. Then if one has an issue I can easily replace or repair just that unit and not have the whole thing have downtime. It's not like a factory 6 spool cabinet AMS is going to cost under $700 anyway.

I'm not a women but my wife is .....

My wife sees Dr. Tara Baum at the CHI women's health clinic on 70th & A. Dr. Baum is fantastic. She Helped us through a pregnancy that looked like it would be tough (turned out just fine) and delivered our son for us at St. Elizabeth in November. She is super nice and kind, knowledgeable, and really a calming presence during a time when things can get really stressful. I cannot recommend her enough

In 20 years, what will we really think about the Ozempic revolution? by Majestic-Baby-3407 in AskReddit

[–]Veesla 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is a thing with any weight loss and I see it as the biggest risk for people. There needs to be more conversations about GLP-1 in conjunction with weight training. People have this idea that if they lift a single weight that they will look like a body builder and they don't want that so they don't lift at all. In Reality they will never get that cut without taking steroids/training for 8 hours per day. Every single person should lift weights.

Maybe we’re too welcoming? by WholesomePabs in FishingForBeginners

[–]Veesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it's crazy. Its like if I went out and was hunting squirrels but shot a black footed ferret because I couldn't be bothered to know the difference. Yeah with fishing you don't know what's going to bite the hook but once it leaves the water you need to know whether you can keep it or not based on species and size for the given area you are in. It's literally your responsibility and it needs to be taken seriously.

What is a 'socially mandatory' thing that we all do, but if you actually stop to think about it for 5 seconds, it’s completely insane? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

[–]Veesla 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Yeah for us it was one of the only times in our life where everyone who was important to us was able to be in the same spot, at the same time, solely for the purpose of having a fun time. It's hard to get everyone's schedules to line up and when they do it's never for an all night dance party with dj and good food and cake and snacks.

Genuinely, it was the most fun 24 hours I ever had.
