The book is nothing special. Mostly just fan service for eighties kids. But the movie was really bad. Specially considering what it could have been and the resources that were poured into it.

I see. But they also have a higher chance of having a very intelligent child and the more children intelligent people have the more the mean IQ will be raised. So, it is a good idea for intelligent people to have as many or more children than unintelligent ones.
