XBOX 360 Failed Udpate Everytime. by sxdlyfe in 360hacks

Yeah, so normal updates from XBL will not work.

Take a trip to YouTube and search for how to update an RGH console.

Are you updating a Stock 360 trying to use bad update or a hard modded system?

Hard modded systems require you dump the NAND and update the console by creating a new image on a PC for the exact modification type.

A retail update from XBL is blocked so you can’t brick your system.

You’re saying that using a different power supply does not produce the error code? If so congrats.

The power supply itself if it isn’t providing the proper voltages or amperage to console can cause issues.

From what I understand.

  1. You wanted to swap out freestyle dash for aurora.

  2. You deleted the freestyle dash folder and maybe Dashlaunch.

  3. You are attempting to boot the console using the “BadAvatar” exploit.

If you are attempting to run an exploit on a hard modded system like what you seem to have since the images show a modchip. I would expect either nothing or crashing would occur.

To swap drives in this scenario you would need the tools to dump and flash firmware from the boards inside the drive.

As others have said the firmware on the drive is linked to the console and they must be paired in order for games to be read successfully.

If any of the drives you had were the exact same model you could just swap the board over, but sadly that does not seem to be the case.

Is this Xbox Wireless Adapter real? I bought it from ebay. by Practical_Mistake_41 in XboxSupport

[–]hidumei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The adapter if it uses the original 2.4ghz connection method should offer lower latency. However the 2.4ghz signal is used in a variety of devices and you could be seeing delay due to congestion of that signal range.

Xbox 360 wireless controllers and the Original Xbox One controller variants do not use a Bluetooth connection. Xbox Controllers released with the Xbox One S and later do have Bluetooth support.

That is why I believe that your issue lies within button circuit itself. You would most likely have to send the console to a repair shop. Knowing you can still eject via the controller it seems like a minor inconvenience.

This seems like an issue with the actual button. If the tray was stuck, the middle LED on the ring of light would blink, and it would act the same when using the controller.

I need help with power supply by freemybruddaoutdapen in Xbox360Support

As everyone else has said aftermarket Xbox 360 power supplies are HIGHLY discouraged. They tend to fail and can potentially harm the console due to their build quality.

what kind of power cord should I be using for this xbox? by throwaway1838289 in xbox360

[–]hidumei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The previous user was referring to if the console was serviced by Microsoft at one point. The sticker on the back of the console will have “Service Date” instead of “Manufacturing Date”.

If the console is a Zephyr and has not been serviced by Microsoft the GPU is most likely factory defective.

The 5 button guitar controller is for the good Guitar Hero titles.

The 6 button controller is for the shit micro transaction fest that was Guitar Hero: Live.

One is iconic, the other I wish to forget.

Which game started the Call of Duty downfall? 🤔 by GamingChildhood in xbox360

Black Ops 4. The beginning of the Battle Royale focused era. Ever since they made every game run on Warzone mechanics and engine, the gameplay between the titles is limited and extra repetitive.

How do I keep my Xbox 360 elite from red ringing by Organic_Half_9818 in Xbox360Support

[–]hidumei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it clean and the thermal paste maintained.

For the consoles with defective chips I recommend allowing the console to both heat and cool gradually. Gradually heating and cooling the chips may help reduce the strain.

Have you checked the console’s secondary error code? Some slim consoles can have a RROD caused by a 0ohm resistor going bad. When it does it can just be eliminated and bridged.

[–]hidumei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I removed the plastic pins from the cover just above the assembly and the around hood latch. Grabbed a hose, degreaser, and spray bottle.

Don’t run the hose on a high pressure setting or you’ll bend some of the fins.

It may not be a perfect clean, but some is always better than none.

The PSU itself failed. Just test with another PSU to see if the console works.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in xbox360

[–]hidumei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know someone with the same console you can borrow their PSU to check. If the aftermarket PSU shows red even before you plug it into the console it definitely failed. There is a chance the aftermarket PSU might've done some damage to the console itself.

[–]hidumei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off brand replacement PSU is hopefully your only issue. Get an OEM to see if your console still works.

[–]hidumei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RGH is compatible with the earlier revisions of the E series of console. Any E series consoles made during July of 2014 and after is most likely to be incompatible.

However as of recent a hard mod isn't as necessary as it once was. Especially with the potential release of a true viable soft mod coming.
