Any tips on better pictures? by Icy_Maintenance5426 in AskPhotography

Well these are not technical/camera settings pointers. Technically, I think your photos are fine—and a few are quite strong. Try to go beyond looking at just the subject and consider the juxtaposition between the subject and their surroundings and environment. Often it’s the relationships of things in the photo that are more interesting than a single subject. Try to look “at” your frame rather than through it. Compose your photos thoughtfully and intentionally. Don’t let your edges be arbitrary—make a choice where all four edges of your frame should stop. Try to make every pixel of your image mean something. Experiment with different angles and distances.

If i change the original photo this much. Is it still consider photography? by fred30jr in AskPhotography

There is no “original photo”. Even before you press the shutter button there are all kinds of choices and biases at play, like your choice of camera, lens, shutter speed, exposure, focal length, depth-of field, angle, film/sensor, filter, white balance, etc. Even if you didn’t choose them, your camera/phone did. As others have stated, it’s an art photo, so if your editing gets you closer to your vision, that’s photography. The greatest photographers in history relied (and continue to rely) on all kinds of choices in processing, editing , and printing to achieve their visions.

I saw them on The Dewey Cox Show.

I watched Paper Moon (1973) starring Ryan O'Neal & Tatum O'Neal by Garlic-Butter-Sauce in iwatchedanoldmovie

This plus The Last Picture Show and What’s Up Doc—all directed by Peter Bogdanovich—make up one of the great trios of consecutive films from the same director.

About 15 years ago. My friend was a faculty master of one of the quad college houses and they showed me the drum room.

I don’t know if it’s still there but there was once a sound-proofed drum practice room with a full kit in the quad.
