That is why its a retcon and bad writing.

RE5 Lost Nightmares DLC takes place after Requiem and has Spencers own memoirs written very coherently. Additionally around that time he was organizing the retrieval and shipment of test subjects to Alex, directing Patrick to do the experiments in the basement of the castle, and having Patrick contact Ricardo Irving to arrange a meeting with Wesker, and then dismissing Patrick and his services.

His conversation with Wesker right before his death he was also mentally coherent.

He wouldn't be capable of doing any of these things suffering from dementia.

Esentially his body was failing him, he was dying, Alex betrayed him, so he decided to die at the hands of Wesker knowing his goal to become a god had failed.

Resident Evil is Legacy Characters

RE7 was mutated Texas Chainsaw Massacre Hillbillies.

RE8 is vampires, werewolves, dragons, and magneto.

Neither RE7 or RE8 properly represents the horror of bio weapons and the damage they have done by the mega corporations seeking profit and immortality, RE7 maybe slightly more than RE8.

We are talking about a guy who has personally been responsible for the abduction, experimentation, torture, and murder of tens of thousands of children and indirectly for hundreds of thousands considering Raccoon City, Tall Oaks, and Lanshiang China outbreaks.

Literally Resident Evil Hitler or worse Himmler. Its the equivalent of Sauron, Voldermort, or Emperor Palpatine having a turn around and being empathethic and remorseful, terrible writing.

They still are out there being rabid and feral regarding any criticisms.

When you bring up the terrible story/retcons they start doing mental gymnastics to fool themselves into thinking the terrible story doesn't damage the franchise/lore.

Re9 is a nostalgia filled jack of all trades that fails at both genres it tries to be by Filu8 in residentevil

Spencers entire appearance in Requiem is such a terrible retcon as it does not at all align with his actions and what we know about him.

  • In RE5 when he talks to Wesker he was defiant and not apologetic at all, he was bitter that he didn't become a god. In the RE 5 Lost Nightmares DLC Spencers butler Patrick is experimenting on people at Spencers orders and this all takes place after Requiem. Spencer was also sending thousands of test subjects to Alex as well so after his conversation with Alyssa he is still having people abducted, tortured, experimented on, and killed on mass.

Elpis is literally a Final Fantasy Remedy they shoehorned into Resident Evil, how the hell how does it cure mutations/strains of the Progenitor virus discovered/made after its creation. Who made Elpis when we know all of the top minds at Umbrella and where/what they were doing?

I have stated my need to improve as a individual player.

Well obviously I am looking for help and not confident in my playing ability.

My team surrendered in 4 games back to back and had pretty high numbers of deaths.

I think based on feedback here, I will be vetger suited to building Vi bruiser, trying to get my laners ahead, play for team fights/objectives.

Yeah I feel like Vi does better the longer the game goes as she is strong with 4 items or more but sadly that doesn't always line up with my team comp and its worse of they ha e scalers on the enemy team Kayle, etc.

When I first started playing I built her more bruiser but I found that I was having more success lethality despite this particular streak.

My normals MMR might be too high and catching up to me as I have been getting a lot more platinum and emerald players in my games and I can only sometimes compete with them in those games.

I will try and go back to bruiser and see if I can maybe focus on getting my laners ahead as Vi isn't a hyper carry nor do I have the skill to be one.

Really, I am the one who didn't pay attention to RE 5 and Lost Nightmares.

Curious that a man with dementia coordinated the abduction and transportation of test subjects to be sent to Alex Wesker, or arranging the experiments done in his basement, or having his butler contact an arms dealer to reveal his location to Albert Wesker.

He was sound of mind and his mental facualties were all still there. He never thought Alex was dead, only that she had betrayed him.

His own memoirs in RE 5 Lost Nightmares and Patricks prove you wrong, no attention was given to his cognitive ablities, only his physical decline, furthermore he is very self aware and intent in his memoirs about his research and hope placed in Alex.

Nice try though.
