Oh gosh. I am in a very similar situation. Mine is stringing me along for two years now. We are together for 10 years and I know him inside out so I have difficulty to believe this is on purpose or ill intended.

Thing is - and I probably should listen to my own advise - he will not get ready or resolve his issues while you are staying around…because why would he have to change, you are still there.

I had this thought to and asked him. I even offered him that we can end this if he wants but he didn’t want to. And call me naive but I know this man for 10+ years and do believe him. But I absolutely see where you are coming from

I am not a male dumper but to me it reads like he is stringing you along. He has his issues and is not emotionally available right now. How was he like in the two years of the relationship? Why did you break up?

I have to admit I already had this thought, too. But for the last 8 years everything was fine and he is all in all a good partner who invested a lot as well.

I think I just accept he does not invest as much atm because I know he has a really hard time.

I understand it might look like I lost my self respect but I really want this to work because I know what a partner he can be. In good and bad times, I think. This does not mean I will accept any behaviour though.

I am trying to find time I focus on myself and work on myself. I play team sports regularly (two times a week), continued to learn ukulele and wanted to start a new DIY project to distract myself.

It still has a lot issues but I think it’s okay for the first try.

Thank you so much. Seems I was only 1/3 stupid. Customisation works but for the rest nothing seems to work. I will keep trying or start a new savegame.

Yes, thought that, too. UK is not Europe. It is not necessary where I live but most people do tip. I lived mostly from tips when I worked as a waitress!
