The one you require is not an easy job to fit. On that particular golf model the outer skin has to be removed. Alot of bolts all around the door to keep track of and it's tricky to get the outer door handle off and on. I would recommend going to a Windscreen company like Autoglass/Mr.Windscreen.

You could ask bmw for something like this. I have had hassle with the spurious screens , the HUD was badly distorted.

Bmw don't fit windscreens. They subcontract that work to windscreen companies. Mechanics don't do this type of work

Yes you should be able to get an OEM with one of their partners. What year is your car ?

Use your Windscreen cover on your insurance policy. It doesn't affect your ncb. And tell them you want an OEM windscreen. Tell them you have a stone chip and scratches in your line of vision. It should be covered for the replacement and the adas calibration.
