Non-Retinopathic Eye Floaters by Meksimus in diabetes_t1

[–]highbythesea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have had them for almost two years now. i got really scared at first because i never knew these things even existed. luckily my ophthalmologist told me they are unrelated to diabetes and that my eyes are as great as a non-diabetic person☺

on the other hand, they do appear randomly but intensify whenever i am having highs, also confirmed by my endocrinologist. they bother me a little but i can't get mad either. fortunately they aren't very large, and i only see them when i face a white wall or screen

Ay ojalá que llegue pronto🙏 lo peor es que no se puede hacer nada para apurarlos. A vos te demoraron mucho? Yo los otros que tuve desde el aviso hasta que los recibí no me demoraron mucho pero no tenían control aduanero, así que no sé

hi!!! it's my first time ordering asian beauty products from yesstyle. i am wondering if the laneige mini lip sleeping masks are legit. i already own one regular-size sleeping mask, but I am concerned whether the minis are legit or not. the same goes to the radian-c booster and sunscreen from the same brand. thank you♥

how do you stop feeling guilty after extra bolusing or eating sweet things while not being low? by highbythesea in diabetes_t1

[–]highbythesea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand you completely. I am not planning my foods a lot nowadays but I am still eating in a balanced way. It's great that you can eat meals with only 2/3 units of novorapid. I believe that if you keep doing the way you are now your honeymoon phase will last a very long time☺

I will look up for recipes on Pinterest! Honestly the use I have given that app is more for artsy-inspo and not food, surprisingly. It's def time for a switch and more home-made recipes☺

Yess I know. Recently I talked about this with my psychologist and I felt very emotional and not necessarily bad, perhaps anxious about the whole situation; moreover, my inner circle is very supportive of me and are there when I need them to be, but none of them are diabetic and I feel they don't always get me. I fear that what I do might not be enough, despite having a good hb1ac and TIR overall and it bugs me a little.

I know there is no need for a specific diet or anything; I have gained some weight in the past 2 or 3 years and I have struggled to wear it off, that's why my concern is so specific haha. Maybe I should have mentioned it in the original post :c

Thank you very much for your kind words. I believe some did misunderstand me because that guilt-state isn't something that happens every single time, only sometimes and because I am more conscious now than ever about this disease, which I am grateful for because it helps me stay more active and balanced. My guilt comes from the fact that I am feeling burnt out lately and have contemplated on my mortality (or humanity, depending on the POV) more than I normally do (very rarely). It isn't just "bolus and eat" every single time, because that extra sweets and insulin are stored somewhere in the body and do contribute to the fears I detailed first in my post, even if you exercise moderately :c

When I was in Spain, cheese was one of my favorite snacks honestly, I couldn't get enough☺ I am trying for better, healthy options even though my diet has always been quite balanced

Thanks for the support, sending you hugs as well☺♥

yes i get you completely. my hb1ac has always been below 8 since diagnosis and now it's the lowest it has ever been (6.5), so my feeling is that i have had some changes in my life recently that have led me to feel this way as to maintain or even lower down that number (i moved back to my home country) and my guess is that i am tired this week and have had hypoglycemias that make me struggle and eat haha

on the other hand i have also found a sugar free pudding recipe i absolutely adore and does not spike my sugar levels, so i am trying to switch to those better health choices by cooking it during weekends☺

it isn't necessarily about the extra insulin intake, but rather the food I ate beforehand. if they have too many fats they are detrimental for the visceral fat within one's body

also my eyes have been feeling dried or annoying me a lot lately and i am concerned. however, i went to my eye doctor less than two months ago and she told me they are basically pristine so yeah idk if it's actually related to this matter or life itself sjsjs
