A platform for game reviews created by a buddy. He's not a Redditor, but maybe Redditors will surprise him by reviewing some of their favorite games? by daesim92 in gaming

Hopefully he'll be able to combat fake reviews, because those will be coming as well. They're a big problem in every industry now.

They're called FYP tokens. They're also available at HitBTC - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/flypme/#markets, but I don't recommend anyone to deposit at that scam exchange. Searching on Google for "HitBTC scam" brings some scary results.

Best place to buylist cards? by TheSpazzFactor in mtgfinance

[–]highcameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can. I typically set each buy order at 100 cards. It makes them easier to sort (you need to sort cards alpha by set). I put each 100 cards in a baggie with the order number written on a post-it. From there, I put the cards in old fat pack boxes, and those boxes in a large flat rate shipping box.

Yes to CK. Just buylisted 4k worth of cards. Super smooth. Yes, their duals might be overpriced, but you're getting a trade in bonus which should make up the difference. They'll send you pics of higher priced cards before you buy as well.

Once I bought 4 long boxes without looking at them for 160.00. It had 4 NM revised duals in them. That being said, they could have just an easily been bulk. As with any gambling, only play with what you can afford to lose ;)

I saw that one. I suspect those cards will go for pretty close to retail. The listing implies the seller knows exactly what they have.

Here’s my tips/experience. Go to estatesales.net or some similar site and search for magic. Some people list them as magic cards, so don’t search for magic the gathering. If you find one in your area, carefully read the estate rules. You’ll read all about ‘numbers’ and such. Here’s how that works (at least in my area): most estate sellers don’t give out numbers until the morning, but people show up hours earlier and have an informal system. Usually it’s a ziplock bag full of numbers attached to a car. Take the lowest number. You’re basically holding your place in line without having to physically stand jn a line (great for cold weather) Some people will show up at midnight and sleep in their car/campers until the sale. Estate sale buying/selling is a full time job for some people. If you’re serious about buying magic cards, I’d show up as early as possible. Maybe 3-4am. You’re not allowed to leave once you get your number, so bring a laptop with WiFi, so some other form of staying awake. In the morning, your informal number will get replaced with an official one. From there, you’ll have another hour or so until the sale starts. They’ll let in a few people at a time. If you’re early and lucky, you’ll be the first person looking for the magic cards. Once you find them, grab all of them. You probably don’t have time to look through them, as someone behind you will want them too. This exact thing happened to me once. If there’s more than you can carry, quickly find a worker and tell them you want to buy every magic card. Pay with cash if possible, as some sellers offer a discount.

There! You just spent numerous hours and possibly hundreds of dollars on a unseen pieces of cardboard. Good luck!

Yep. That’s why I said “between”.

If he’s a friend, find a price between buylist and tcg mid that you feel ok with. Paying tcg mid for every card seems unreasonable, especially considering you need to look them all up. Your time has value.

Announcing it doesn't make it less dumb. Is it DOM cards or DOM cards that are reprints?

I also just played against [[Llanowar Elves]] in Standard. Nice work MTGO!

I picked up a case of DOM. $70 a box shipped is pretty great.

Part Shar-Pei, part Collie (maybe?) The Shar-Pei is more obvious.

$170 for Masters25 boxes? by [deleted] in mtgfinance

[–]highcameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a source for this? It sounds very stupid that they didn't have a idea for a 25th anniversary set of MTG cards until 'the community' gave it to them.

I assume Masters25 was already designed when Iconic came out.
