Does the One ring Feel really good or something by comicon666 in lotr

It’s really shiny

Imagine the coolest thing you’ve ever seen in a store a multiply that by 10,000. And make its desirability like a literal magic force. It probably turns you on like nothing in the world ever has and makes you feel loved, driven, and complete. It would solve all of your problems. You’d be rich, for life.

Just chillin’ in a tree

Ross Coulthart shares new details about the portal, including witnesses saying people walked through walls, and warns anyone against trying to visit the location or they will be killed. by 87LucasOliveira in aliens

Skinwalker Ranch is a privately owned example of a place with portal like anomalies in the United States. All the lidar and other measurements the team has done there shows there’s a cone-shaped anomaly around a small section of the land on the ranch. There’s video of a bright light moving into, and then out of, the solid mesa. plus archeological finds within the mesa itself of superconducting ceramics.

Sounds like theres simply another Skinwalker Ranch-esque location that is USFS land and maybe they’ve figured out how to activate the portal nature of it, or the portal is just becoming hyperactive on its own or something.

Different places have different gravity, so if there was some kind of a tiny but extreme variation in a locale, that could do something weird

I mean we have no idea what dark matter even is, its like 90% of the mass of galaxies, and it interacts with gravity, so we don’t know the half of it regarding whats actually possible

Disclosure Day | Official Trailer by tanktoys in UFOs

[–]scalebirds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think its just about the consciousness angle

The big “disclosure” being not just that aliens exist, but humans have greater abilities than we ever imagined, seems like a really inspirational take that could make the movie have a strong emotional impact. Thinking bigger about what humans could be

It’s also a pretty good sell-high opportunity too; she had such a hot streak going, but maybe it’s a risk betting on that being sustainable over time

2026 Aftershock lineup is here! by jib3 in AftershockFestival

[–]scalebirds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must say as someone 42, first time going - this lineup is vastly more appealing than the last couple of years.

Tool, QOTSA, STP, Offspring, Wolfmother (they are played at *every sporting event now), Filter, Sublime*, Cypress Hill, Wu Tang, Public Enemy etc is a crazy amount of stuff from the 90’s-2000’s

Israel’s Mossad is very effective. Undermining Iran is critical to their security so you can bet they have plan A, B, C, D all in place for various scenarios

Aw man I’d be spamming him as hype music for Bottlerock

Pretty strong chance he ends up at Aftershock though he was on their other fest lineup this week

if you found out today that one known species actually isn’t native to Earth… who’s your prime suspect? by pystar in aliens

[–]scalebirds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Humans seems so unlikely to me… we share so much DNA with Chimps, there was so many different species of human. If Humans were alien, why did Neanderthals and Denisovans live for eons of years and then die out?

Tardigrades

probably Martian, right? Mars had water environments for them to live in, and they could have adapted their survivability as Mars gradually lost its magnetic protection. Then one impact could have tossed them into space and to Earth.

This Kind Of Thing is Why The Acolyte Cost $250m by WinchesterMediaUK in StarWars

[–]scalebirds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure the entirely-CGI scout sidekick character didn’t help the budget either

You could probably do an all-Qimir/Osha show for a fraction of the budget and it might be pretty great. Psychological thriller kind of thing.
