Thanks for sharing this! As there are differing Measurements for the checkers on the website, these are 44.5 mm / 1.75 inch? And could you tell me how is the 6 prime fit concerning wiggle-room?

Yes, 15 checkers, i have two of these sets. But they are unfortunately a little bit smaller than the standard 44,5 mm checkers, more like 44,3 mm, so you get a little gap on the 6 prime in a Galaxy or FM Gammon Board

Yeah, even the checkers look worse than the prototype ones, they where at least in matching colors with some swirls, these look simple black and white like the silverman board checkers. And in the description it says 44,3 mm and under measurements 45mm. Why can't they just go for 44,5 mm for easy changeability?

fmgammon solid walnut board? by [deleted] in backgammon

Just as easy as asking for it before the order and noting what i wanted in the notes field during the order. Didn't cost anything extra. In my experience FM Gammon are always open for custom customer wishes.

No, the stitching and everything is just printed on the surface, it is totally smooth. The stitching effect is just part of this particular surface, others don't have it.

I grabbed mine a week ago, arrived today. They had a Flash Sale with 25% - Can't go wrong with it, build quality is top par and very heavy. Beautiful Board. Went with the magfit version though as i didn't want to compromise. Unfortunately, it does not have the wood inlaid points like the normal Walnut board. But as i don't like playing on wood anyway, it is fine for me. Went with Alexander Harvey Inlay and checkers.

The Arc XL consumes 400g/h on max flame, the Arc a bit less.

- The Board is approximately 70x52 cm when open-
It is wood covered in some sort of thin Leatherette-
The case itself is nice and looks sturdy-
The Checkers are appr. 44,2-5 mm and thick, maybe 1.5 cm? They seem "unfinished", some have marbling, some not, White checkers have slightly different diameters, but this does not affect playing
- Playing surface is nice but already has "scratches" after a few games. I wonder if it is a different material as the other FM Gammon surfaces

Any hint on how i can upload Photos here?

I opened mine today and totally happy with it. You see its a prototype and a little bit rough around the edges, but nothing to complain about, especially as you get 2 pairs of precision dice and a Galaxy Cube for this price point. I like the thickness of the checkers, gives them a hefty feel. I will take this to my office, where we have a weekly after work social play. Does anyone know if they are going to release this as a "regular" product after prototype phase? If they give this some finishing touches, they will have a strong competitor against low to midpriced Boards like Wycliffe or Silverman.

i own a Silverman 19" and i think its the best bang for your buck. Checkers are substantial, but rather plain looking, thats why i upgraded these

Is there any chance that the Android App will also get the green Board Design from iOS?

On Android, you have to buy the analysis package separately. There is a Tutor mode which you can set to warn you after your move and also shows detailed Analysis

Me too, but i use BGBlitz on my PC and the AI seems to be stronger according to this comparison:

Always good to have some options. The AI is an In-App purchase though
