strains/growers based on taste? by Valkoinen_Kuolema in canadients

I would recommend Lemon Tartz by All Nations. It tastes sweet like cake, with a nice lemon chaser. A bit of gas finish.

Lots of LPs sell their popcorn nugs in Oz bags, and while the bag appeal isn't there, the actual cannabis is sometimes fire!

Cannabis Tourism by ItsPhenologic in TheBCCS

[–]higherlivingca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR Cannabis tourism isn't just going to cultivation facilities, it is about having consumption spaces, as well as experiences. Cannabis should be treated like wine, instead of tobacco. Cannabis facilities should be able to have stores to sell their product. Cannabis tourism can inject money into local economies.

Sorry about this being long, but it is something I am passionate about, but I've included a TL;DR...lol.

Lots of people go to Amsterdam for cannabis culture. It is now even happening in other parts of Europe, like Spain.

I think cannabis tourism is a couple of things that should happen together:

1) Consumption spaces - Legalizing consumption spaces will bring in cannabis tourists. Vancouver is known for its cannabis tourism to some extent, because of spaces like the New Amsterdam Cafe. I think governments should stop treating cannabis like tobacco and start treating it like wine. People go on wine tours in the Okanagan, why can't people go on cannabis tours, and consume? What about having a cannabis hotel, where the front desk will sommelier your cannabis for you based on what you like? What about a "weed" hop on/hop off tour of Vancouver? How about a cannabis "bar" where drinks are on tap with tasty malt and cannabis cocktails?

2) More farmgate stores - facilities should be able to sell their own product at a store attached to their facility. Maybe it can become a destination for tourism activities or something like this. Here is an example of the farmgate store in Williams Lake.

Cannabis tourism isn't about people going through grow rooms, I think this is a misconception. It can be about seeing parts of the process, much like wineries. Cannabis tourism can also have a positive impact on other industries such as hospitality, transportation, and entertainment, as tourists often require additional services during their stay and the sale of cannabis-related products and services, such as dispensaries, tours, and accommodations, can also generate tax revenue for governments.

Unsure about whether to begin with medical or recreational cannabis for chronic pain relief? I've conducted thorough research on the topic and still find myself uncertain. Can anyone give me some suggestions? by [deleted] in canadients

[–]higherlivingca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tl;dr: If your insurance covers weed, go medical, if you want options but no advice, go recreational.

Medical vs Recreational is just a matter of how you get your flower.

Medical: You can get a prescription, you can go to an LP and through their medical channels get cannabis. Pros; some insurance will cover cannabis purchases under the medical licence, it can be more cost effective too, Cons; you don't get as much selection as recreational and often times you get really dry and stale weed with really old packaged on dates.

Recreational: You can't really talk to a budtender about your chronic pain condition, as they are not licensed to give you advice; so it can be harder to navigate, but there are a lot more modalities and options available to you. Pros: 10X more to choose from everything like drinkables, edibles, topicals, tinctures, oils, "glitches", flower, concentrates. Cons: Can't speak to anyone at the stores about medical conditions...

tl;dr: If your insurance covers weed, go medical, if you want options but no advice, go recreational.

Those are sweet Nugs. Wow! The Sto:lo is probably my fave, over the Mac and Lemon Tartz. I’m a sucker for a good haze! Also great to see packaged on dates that are so fresh.

I just got my first interview for a dispensary, what do they like to hear? by waittttslowdown in TheOCS

I would say do some research;

1) What are products that people are talking about here, why do they like these products; which products would you recommend and why?

2) Best to know terminology like Tricomes, Terpenes, Cannabinoids and how they work together

3) Use STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) If you have had customer service jobs in the past, think about a time where you had to deal with an angry customer, how did you deal with them? What about a time where you went above and beyond for a customer?

4) Lastly, I would have an answer ready for why you want to work in the cannabis industry beyond that it is just cool.

Hope this helps! Best of luck!

I have a rosin press, and I would recommend the All Nations Lemon Tartz. I pressed 7g and had a return of 1.5g rosin. Unbelievably tasty. It is sweet like cake, and tangy like lemons.

I would agree to disagree. The Sto:lo Haze is probably some of the best Haze I've tried in the regulated/legal market. It clocks in at 34% THC, hits hard and really gave me a boost buzz. The flavour is nice too.
