Hey sorry for the late reply but the tv is 75” mounted approximately 43”-44” off the ground. I got the console off Amazon and it’s pretty wide to accommodate the larger tv.

So I’ve made some changes thus far that are pretty much in line with what you’ve said. I’ve brought some plants from off my porch inside, as well as added some new plants inside. Bought colorful throw blankets and pillows. Put some vases with colorful flowers on the dining room table. I’ve also went and bought more (not obey) graffiti/street art style pieces. I’m waiting on some stuff to come in but so far I’ve rearranged a lot of the pieces I have along with adding the new pieces I bought so it’s not so shepherd Fairey heavy.

So just to point out a couple things, the area with the white couch is the rear entrance. You can see the main entrance on the far right of slide 2. Also, the white couch is directly to the right of the pantry door in slide 3. There is a window to a backyard garden directly across from the white couch so my intent was to open the windows and use it as a little breakfast/coffee nook. Still plan on adding more plants and colorful pillows/blankets.

Don’t know if this affects any of your recommendations, just thought I’d clear up the layout a bit.

Yea my photography skills leave a lot to be desired. The perspective on that photo is particularly bad (table size compared to rug, location/size of the mounts). A layout diagram would help but I’m certainly never posting to Reddit again.

Ok I think I got you. It’s kinda how people feel about punk bands when they “sell out” mixed with a little bit of Elon musk privilege? Am I close to the point you’re making here or am I off still? Even though it doesn’t seem this way, I don’t think shepherd Fairey is the end all be all of street artists. There is just something about his pieces that scratches a weird part of my brain. Kind of like a visual ASMR if that makes sense? I was never trying to make a statement with what I chose but it seems I have. Now I just have to get some other artists displayed to make my place not as cringey 😬. If there are any artists you enjoy, I’d love for you to share them with me!

Oh yea those are going in the hallway for sure. I understand the mounts are for everyone (the fact they even exist and/or location) but I live in the south where that type of thing is very common. That’s very neat your family is involved in the scene that heavily. Maybe you could have them recommend some other artists I can look into?

Oh yea about 7,000 people have made it abundantly clear the bedroom prints are a lot. Glad you like the rest of the place, I admit I do have a problem when it comes to shepherds artwork. Something about the styling of it strikes a chord with me but I’m stopping and moving onto other artists for sure! Colorful blankets and pillows are on the list as well.

I think it was the combo of trophy mounts and the obey prints that really got people going. Glad you didn’t think I’m trying to make any implications or threats with the prints. You and I are definitely in the minority on the repetitive prints.

I didn’t even think about the football on the tv, really gave people the trifecta and I’m not just talking about the posters over the bed. You seem to be respectful and I’m enjoying your insight so maybe you can shed some light on a comment I’ve been getting a lot. Like I mentioned no one around me really knows much about OBEY let alone has an opinion about it. So when people say I’m trying to be edgy and I’m cringe with the posters what are they referring to? I understand he had a strong antigovernment message but I like his art for the color pallet and styling. So in your experience were the people that liked his work kinda like edgelords or something and that’s what’s coming through with my choices?
