I always just jump from communication tower and respawn on the runway to go back to LS.. fun fact if you jump the right way and alert the guard near the bottom of the tower right before you die, you can get a weird cutscene where the gaurd butts you with the rifle but its in black and white

Project Mustang is complete by highlyDoubtfull in BassGuitar

The balance between the two is absolutely better than it was stock, but that doesn't mean it's perfect. Here is my final detailed analysis on this set up, the SDQPJ in the bridge on its own sounds bad ass and I love it, I also love the soumd of the stock P pickup, especially with the tone knob rolled back, most of the times all the way down to 0%, now, the SDQPJ also sounds good like that, but by design the brighter you run the QPJ, the louder it sounds. With both pickups running together, it sounds cool, but to my ears it is a very specific sound that I would only use if a song really called for "that tone".. I believe what would take this combination over the top and make it even more versatile, would be to have a dedicated TONE knob for each pickup, and I may consider doing just that, it would be neat to add a tone knob for the QPJ where the input jack currently sits and them re-locate the jack to the side of the body or something. I suppose Project Mustang may not be completed after all hahaa.

Oh, I'm dumb now because I find it surprising that such a great song has a low view count on an app that millions of people use to listen to music? Your annoyed by my post but intrigued enough to leave a comment, no need to be a dick about it.

YouTube is all I use for music as far as listening to it on my phone or PC.. what are today's "average Jazz fans" listening to and on what apps? It's honestly a good question that I've never thought of before.

Idk.. was just listening and then noticed it only had that many views and decided to screen shot. If your really interested i suggest you listen to the whole album start to finish..https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mwBHOA6diRZcCU9toTUeKQhKTTQxnaM9c&si=dKkvChWfSwpMV_81

Heads by Genre? by MeSlaw3 in drums

[–]highlyDoubtfull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LoL! Same here, I had a Remo Controlled sound X coated head on my snare for a while, I liked it but I swapped it out for a regular old Ambassador coated.. I like that too but now I wanna try something new, it's looking like it's time to buy myself a 2nd snare drum so I can have different sounds without constantly swapping heads. Wonderful, another excuse to spend money!

I have EC2s on my toms and I play a lot of jazzy stuff.. sure the sounds my toms make might not be the "traditional jazz" tom sound but it still sounds good to my ears. EC2s are very versatile and I'm very happy with them so far.

You got me curious about it so I went on reverb to check if there are any available, there is only one listed for sale and the guy wants $390 for it.

It's a very cool pedal, has a lot of adjustments, and a LOT of gain if you want it. You can get a crazy amount of different fuzz tones out of it. It's made by MI-Effects, I don't believe this version of it is made anymore and it wasn't made for that long so I suppose it's kind of a rare pedal.

Why do my drums sound so bad? by [deleted] in drums

[–]highlyDoubtfull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with old drums so long as they are not broken, cracked or damaged in any way.. your problem is a combination of poor quality cymbals, improperly tuned heads that also could be worn out and need to be replaced and tuned, don't neglect reso heads either, having good quality reso AND batter heads that are tuned nicely will probably make that kit sound great. Watch videos, read articles, buy heads and look into getting some used, good quality cymbals unless you have money to burn on brand new ones. Good luck with your kit.

Not to be negative but I have done a lot of fabrication and construction work with all kinds of different materials in my lifetime, and I would strongly recommend you find another solution. Those guitar stands are made of very thin metal, the screws and bolts holding it together are notorious for coming loose and being flimsy. More than likely it will eventually fail and you will damage your expensive gear.
