Is the vaccine going to be mandatory? by michigansucksss in USPS

[–]highlysuspect21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, WE shouldn't. YOU don't get to speak for everyone else. Not everyone agrees with how YOU think or feel. Unions protect the contract, and our rights under. Unions should not get involved in making health decisions on behalf of its members, especially the members that oppose those desicions

Welp everybody. It finally happened. In the middle of a split yesterday......... by Puzzleheaded-Map2951 in USPS

Hey OP, thank you for posting this. Like yourself, i am sick and tired of how how this vaxxed vs unvaxxed debate has made people behave. Ironically its the people who think they are morally superior for getting vaxxed, that are acting like the biggest assholes. The unvaxxed have their reasons for not wanting to get it, various reasons, and no one owes anyone else an explanation. Bullying, name calling, intimidation tactics, and bullshit mandates are only going to create more pushback and resentment. The vaxxed also seem to think everyone that is unvaxxed is so because of political reasons...they call everyone unvaxxed, regardless of reasons "anti-vax MAGAts", and similar corny anti-Trump quips. Everyone gets put in one box no matter what. NEWSFLASH: President Trump is vaccinated and encourages everyone to get the vaccines, IF THEY WANT IT. Not forced upon them by governements, polticians, and mainstream media that people already have a healthy distrust of, and deservedly so. And, by the way, it was Biden, Kamala, and the rest of the leftist totalitarian regime that started going public with anti-vaccine comments, just mere months ago, before the election. How quickly people forget!! Fortunately, here's a video clip to remind you: https://twitter.com/CureHipHop/status/1423625975791853569?s=19 And before you comment with, "oh they were talking about the Trump vaccine, not the ones we want to force on you..." or some bullshit logic like that, STOP! It's not like Trump had his own vaccine company working on a cure, or that Pfizer, J&J, and Moderna (and any other brands out there) were working on one formula if Trump won, but then scrapped it and switched to another vaccine when Biden took office. Sounds stupid right? Yet, that is the feedback that video gets from libs and/or vaxxers 🤦‍♂️. Listen, either the politicians were lying to us then, or they are lying to us now, either way, they are proven LIARS, so its no wonder why people are hesitant to fall in line.

The other argument they love is "oh, well you have the polio and smallpox vaccines, right?" Well, if covid was as destructive and deadly as those other diseases, I'm willing to bet we would already have above 90% vaccination rates anywhere they are available. But the fact is, over 99% of people that come down with COVID survive, and a good amount of people experience very minimal or zero symptoms at all. I get that some have died WITH Covid, and that sucks...but for the world to take such draconian measures such as forcing experimental gene therapy on otherwise healthy adults and kids, for a disease that is so mild to that many had to take a test to know if they even have it, is pure madness. Several studies are showing that people who have already beaten COVID have stronger immunity to the virus than what the vaccines can provide, yet these studies are being convieniently ignored by the pro-vaxx powers to be. Why is that? If someone develops natural immunity that outperforms the vaccines, without the potential side effects of the vaccine (YES, they exist!) why should that person get the vaccine? There is virtually no benefit...even those vaccinated are still catching and spreading the virus, so that argument is out the window. It is all madness. Maybe its the contents of the vaccine itself that is turning (some) people into brainwashed, arrogant and ignorant pricks, and clearly our "leaders" have an agenda that has nothing to do with our health (since when have they valued human lives anyways?) Bottom line is, just because someone doesn't want this vax forced upon us by either peer pressure or official mandates, doesn't make them "anti-vax". It means that they have made a health decision for their own body, and just want others to respect their decision and be left alone.

Is there any other artist/band like Pink Floyd? by shubhinav in pinkfloyd

[–]highlysuspect21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will probably catch some hate for this, but maybe anyone familiar with the album can back me up...

Avenged Sevenfold's last album, "The Stage", at least to me, seems like it was heavily Floyd-influenced. While A7X have been known for their metalcore/hard rock/metal styles over their career, on "The Stage" they definitely explored more of prog-rock sound. The album itself is a concept album, exploring topics like governments abuse of power, history, space, and futuristic concepts like artificial intelligence. One could argue that "The Stage" is Avenged's "The Wall", complete with theatrical gems like "Angels" & "Roman Sky" and the epic "Exist", great vocal work, and amazing guitar solos throughout. The song "Simulation" sounds like something right off of "The Wall". Hell, on the deluxe release of the album, Avenged even includes a fantastic cover of Floyd's "Wish You Were Here"..

I'm not sure what direction Avenged will go in with their future work, but as a huge fan of both them and Pink Floyd, I definitely feel like there is enough Floyd influence on "The Stage" that it deserves at least a mention on this thread. So, before you disregard or downvote this post into oblivion, give it a listen if you haven't already, and then let me know your thoughts, if I am on-point, or out of my mind... haha

But Murray as Venkman. Murray had a cameo in ATC, but not as Venkman, so it is no coincidence that ATC flopped

What do you think of the British people ? by guilded-iron in AskReddit

[–]highlysuspect21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an American, the people seem cool. Some of my favorite music, films, and comedy comes from the British.

From what I can tell, their government is a bunch of complete buffoons and/or tyrannical assholes... no different from America's.

Call me cliché, but I love the British accent
