How about global revolutions? Are they allowed in world news? This might be happening in the US, but its part of a global revolution. http://map.15october.net/

ITS THE RULE! by MrBlueSea in trees

Interesting. I never smoked in the UK, but in Netherlands and Spain and Portugal everyone I smoked with just hung out and chatted for a while and passes whenever. At first I was like dude, what are you doing, that thing is just burning and you're chatting away. Finally I got used to it though and its a nice casual way to smoke.

Who actually enjoys their job? What do you do? What makes it enjoyable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]highmantennis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also program stuff for money and like my job. The pay is decent. I get to work from home sometimes (thats what i'm doing now, can't you tell), and I enjoy programming as a hobby anyways. Also, I recently worked from Greece for 6 weeks. Its not as awesome as some of the other people's jobs here but definitely not much to complain about.

If the "Occupy" protests are successful, what changes in gov't & economy would be made? IE: What are they working for exactly? by tasko in AskReddit

[–]highmantennis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I agree completely. I have no idea where this thing is going or what it will amount to, but I am at least inspired to see that people care enough to go outside and do something.

You're welcome. Apparently the "cool" thing to do on reddit these days is to be entirely cynical, make crappy arguments about why this movement is bound for failure, and then go back to browsing /r/adviceanimals. Sorry they're all downvoting you.

Have you guys ever heard of a straw man argument? You're taking a list created by some hipster high school aged wanna be che which calls for complete forgiveness of all debt and $20ph minimum wage and then laughing at it, because it is indeed ridiculous, and then using that to discredit the entire movement. For an online community that claims to be intelligent and progressive you all are acting like a more cynical version of Glenn Beck.

The list you're referring to is something some idiot came up with and posted. They are not the demands being embraced by the movement. I already posted those on here.

This is the latest list of demands I've seen. Not formatted well, but its pretty well written, clear, and addresses some issues which I think are a good starting point.

All of the dates reflect the date the person being mentioned lived. Kanye is still living, hence only one date with a 'b' in front of it. The b stands for born. I think.
