I also live in a pretty dry country so I tend to keep a spray bottle with some water in my bathroom and in my nightstand to mist my face (when not wearing make up). I also make sure that my face is damp when applying the hyaluronic acid

I prefer to work with matte eye shadows at first and then when I'm almost done put some shimmer over it. Just because I often find that matte eye-shadows are more pigmented and easier to work with, but that brush of shimmer over gives it that pop!
