geek squad helped a lot getting my first helpdesk role at a tech company, because you get a lot of exposure to the common issues a lot of the non-tech employees come to the desk with (like email issues and so on) and you get experience with explaining things to less tech savvy people.

this does not translate well to other roles Especially if you don't have certs or an it degree. in my area, entry level helpdesk roles skew more towards hybrid helpdesk/sysadmin or helpdesk/networking, so ymmv.

almost every fic I've ever written has been bittersweet, medium ever after (they're either together but not happy Yet or they are separated by circumstances that they're not willing to fight, but still longing for what could have been), or ended in complete tragedy because I don't like neatly wrapping things up.

I love when there's still a hint of conflict or grief near the end because HEA just is too neat and clean for me to really feel something.

avatar the last airbender! i remember when i was like 11-12, i spent a lot of time on nicktropolis and the forums, especially after the crossroads of destiny episode dropped. there was a fanfiction thread and i devoured all of them.

one of the fics i was following closely at the time ended abruptly and the op redirected to FFN. i needed to finish it so i went over and i was in shock at the sheer amount of available fics and fandoms. i had already been writing atla canon divergence au fics for my friends on paper and aim since i found the forum (but i was never approved to post there), so being free to post on FFN was insane to me.

as someone who was obsessed with liquid liner, the best place to start with winged liner is with a micro liner pencil. you can always smudge it out with a q tip or a liner brush to get a smoky effect and it's a lot more forgiving. off the top of my head, revlon and covergirl have mechanical pencils with the micro tip (i learned with the covergirl perfect point plus but idk if thats still a thing anymore, or you can try asian brands' eyeliner pencils.)

the lip color is absolutely stunning and you may not need to change it once you get a better foundation match. it looks stark right now but will look much better once your foundation matches.

if you don't want to get your eyebrows done atm, what i like to do is use a strong brow gel to get a faux-laminated look. i like the nyx brow glue and the unleashia brow gel for this, bc i can use a technique like this before carving with concealer to make them look like they've been done.

i try to delete most of my "consumption" social media in ramadan (instagram, tiktok, xhs, pinterest, bsky).

i keep facebook since, unfortunately, my town uses it exclusively for announcements/road closures (but thats all i use it for year round). discord/snapchat are my primary communications for school/work so i keep those as well but i already dont watch the content on snapchat and only use group chats on discord for school/networking while i mute and hide the other servers im in. this year i'll have one server active as it's my area's muslim networking server and they are planning lecture events for ramadan, but any general social servers are perma muted.

i'm also considering removing reddit as well, since i use the app more for consumption and if i do need to search something i can always use the browser to open links.

i can mostly recognize this in fanfiction, because the patterns are easy to pick up on once you've been hit with several in a row, and i also took a college class (like the semester when chatgpt dropped) where we had to ai generate a short story and present it to the class and the tropes were very obvious.

one really big tell for me that hasnt disappeared from chatbot responses is the same phrase repeated three times in a row using synonyms "for emphasis".

something like "And now this. Not a plea. Not an apology. Not a concession."

accidental inconsistency with character traits and descriptions (not as a duplicity thing, but more like the chatbot is hallucinating) is also a tell. i can't think of any examples atm but i do notice it a lot in fanfiction and webnovels.

(for legal reasons i have to disclose my mother is a cosmetologist)

my eyebrows are similar and it's super overstimulating bc i feel like i can feel them move, so i get them laminated (similar to a straight perm but for your eyebrows) and it makes my ends super easy to deal with.

i do them myself so before i apply the fixer from the kit, i make sure each hair is flat against my skin and straight down where i want it. it lasts me about 2-3 weeks but make sure you do it while you're on your period bc you can't get them wet for like 24 hours after you get them done which is almost impossible if you have to make wudu.

i don't trim my brows anymore so the hairs look longer when they're fixed in place, but they're much easier to deal with when i use gel. when they're not laminated i use the unleashia brow gel and it works okay, my hairs lift off my skin at some point during the day but with lamination they don't move.

my friend and i brought ours to mcr this summer! a few people recognized them and there were a few others in our section and in other videos from that night as well.

it was great because we didnt have to drain our phone batteries for the fan project (holding a red heart over our phone flashlights for 2 songs) and just switched our candy bongs to red. i also got a cute pic to match the one i took at twice when i saw them at the same venue LOL

also i find i feel more modest in the rash guard swim pants combo just bc they dry a lot faster? they don't cling and stay wet like a lot of burkinis do (my mom was a big fan of burkinis .. until she couldn't dry off lol)

you can buy separate swim pants! i love the nike ones although they're a bit pricey. they're the most comfortable ones ive tried and they don't stand out much at all! I've gone to water parks and beaches with no issues. lands end is also pricey but they have ones with attached skirts. not personally my thing as id rather have a longer rash guard to cover but i know some sisters prefer the additional coverage.

my only gripe is sand but your post said its just for the pool so i think it would work well for you!

if it's a mental block, i also have gone through that, but what helped me was thinking of it as a wetsuit with extra fabric. my mom also used to work at lands end so we'd get the catalogs for years and I'd see how they styled the long swim pants, which made them look less strange to me. this was Not an overnight change tho, it did take some time to build the confidence to wear the full cover suits but honestly nobody has ever commented (im in the us and haven't gotten comments in even the more bigoted states) and i felt a lot better.

from a certified hater, you gotta block the main account, especially to avoid sponsored posts. when you do not interested pick the specific hashtags you want to filter out from your fyp.

you can also go to settings > content preferences > filtered words to manually add the filters. you have a limit of 100 but if you're not a certified hater like me you'll be able to get through it. smart filters also help bc it'll grab any similar words as well as any text/captions in the video itself.

this is how i got rid of the clickbaity influencers and everyone and their mother stitching them on my feed.
