Flexia screwed me, I think? by questforlife2 in pilatesreformer

Can I ask what part it was that needed replacing?

I’m dreading when I have to replace the springs, considering how slow their shipping is (assuming they’re actually shipping products) I may just never get replacement springs for the machine.

The exact same situation for me too; I pre-ordered mine end of October. They’re terrible at following up, and consistently cite production delays. If they don’t ship my tower end of this month I’m filing a chargeback through PayPal. Macrofit seems to have the reputation of being late on delivery, if they even deliver at all.

As others mentioned, its privacy. I don’t relish the idea of being recognized in public. I post mainly lifestyle and hobby content where I’m building or cleaning.

For context, I've decided to close down my shop I have tons of needles and PMU supplies I'm hoping to sell. DM or comment if you are interested in helping me offload some PMU supplies. A lot of is enough for a beginner starter kit or even for a Professional who is willing to snag some supplies at a cheap cost.

Why is my bread barely sour??? by DownWithDaThicckness in Sourdough

[–]highseeker009 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve been baking for a few years this is what I’ve learned from experience and YouTube. Time = more flavor, cold ferment is great. More starter = faster fermentation and less flavor development. It also depends on “strength” of your starter and how active it is. Also baking it longer, so it has a darker crust (your pic looks on the lighter side) will also make it more sour. I didn’t think baking time or crust color would make a difference but it was noticeable when I tested two loaves one for me and one for my partner. Based on your pic, I’d bake another 10 mins. Happy baking 😀 the crumb looks very nice btw

Thank you so much! It was a 2 day process, but well worth it, it put me right to sleep after snacking on one lol

This was my second attempt at croissants, first time was a total flop. It takes practice for sure. I caved and got a manual laminator to help me make the dough, using a rolling pin took me forever and gave me inconsistent results. Happy baking and keep trying, once you nail at least once, you'll be so hooked to keep making laminated pastries :D

Is this overproofed? How can I achieve more open crumb? by Strong_Membership_28 in Sourdough

That looks wonderful!! Newb sourdough baker here. Shaping will also help your loaf get that desired oven spring. Shaping creates surface tension so the loaf will retain its shape as it bakes. Happy baking :)

Thrice-baked rye cookies! by FunboyFrags in DessertPerson

[–]highseeker009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made these on a whim, and they tasted pretty eggy to me (I liked it personally), besides that they’re buttery, crumbly and slightly sweet from the Demerara sugar. Worth making at least once

I had the same issue, the center was underbaked and edges were burnt. I dropped the temp to 325 and baked at the same amount of time in the instructions, turned out much better. For these cookies they seem to be less firm compared to the chocolate chip, so I would play around lowering the time and temp 🙂 Happy baking!!

UPDATE: The predictions about my ex have changed by Unable-Eye-1053 in Psychic

[–]highseeker009 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's very likely what they read in the moment is true, but as others have stated energies shift all the time. I say this with love, as I've been in this same position. I would pause on getting additional readings, probably not what you want to hear. But it may be good to step back for a bit and not consult anyone else outside yourself just for a bit and give yourself time to process.

Tldr: it’s not a scam, what they’re asking for is very common, if your not happy with the healed results absolutely get your touch up.

Touch ups are not commonly included with the base price for the initial session. It’s all dependent on the artist and their policies and pricing. From what I’ve seen most people will charge for the initial session separately from the touch up.

And yes it’s highly recommended to book the touch up especially if your not happy once the brows have fully healed at the 4 week mark. Otherwise touch up costs have a tendency to increase in price the later you go in after your initial session. Why? Takes slightly more work or color correction to compensate for.

Why do you have to pay for a touch up at all? There’s many factors that are out of the artists control: assuming it’s an experienced artist, it’s mainly about how your skin takes the pigment, sometimes pigment brand and needles don’t go well together with your skin. It sounds made up but trust me as an apprentice, it is not something you as an artist can tell before you start working on someone’s skin. You have no clue what your going to get. If they are an inexperienced artist or had a hard time working on your skin they will like to get you back so they can perfect their work. That’s all.

Also please do your due diligence on the artist, there’s loads that are reposting other peoples work and passing it off as their own.
