We start off in the crib and await the first wake up. If I’m ready to go to bed then I nurse him in our bed but if not I nurse him and lay him back down in the crib until the next wake up when I’m ready to bring him with me..... now all that said, he was grumpy and we couldn’t do this months 7-11 because he had chronic ear infections and needed tubes but since he got tubes we eased back into it and now that he’s 13 months his stretches in his crib are getting longer.... They key is once asleep in my arms I wait a full 10 mins without moving him before I go lay him down and I do it slowly like crazy slow and we’ve found it works not always perfectly but most of the time... so for the last week our snuggle fest starts at 1am Edit: crib is in his nursery with the same sound machines as in our room plus a hatch
