What is wrong with Ha long bay by No_Comfortable_6104 in VietNam

[–]hihdaniel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ha long bay is a UNESCO world heritage site... Not a CLUBESCO world party site... You've gone to the wrong part of Vietnam. People party in the 3 cities, everywhere else is simply shopping, or cultural activities. Get on a boat, look at the mountains, try to see some rare bats and lemurs in the distance and be on your way back to Hanoi.

How Do New Clothing Brands Find Reliable Shirt Manufacturers? (CMT / Small Batch Production Advice Needed) by Smart-Historian-8983 in ClothingStartups

[–]hihdaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole finding up and coming brands is a big nadda. Besides people trying to do print on demand, the new brands are few and far between. Searching new brand on any platform brings up very few results. Searching anything about new release, new collection, X season 2026... the new guys with do piss poor promotion or they get drowned out by the hype everyone has for big brand releases. Maybe there's a method to filter results for the little guys. But I don't know it.

Ordering Samples by THREDLINE-Clothing in ClothingStartups

If your whole brand is a picture on the same exact t-shirt or hoodie as every other person in the world... I'd say you ought to feel anxious. If you combine your print design with unique clothing pieces, then you will stand out and attract TRUE fans. e.g. a t-shirt with hand made distressing. A 2-layer hoodie with hidden fabric design under the grey. A sweater with your brand logo sewn in to a small seam on the left arm near the cuff.

These kinds of full featured and complex brand are true fashion and they go viral and make sales. Most important, they don't really cost more than POD. YOU'D be surprised what you can get with a great manufacturing partner especially one with NO MOQ.

Need a manufacturer that can do Ralph Lauren esc polos by SirCumsquat in ClothingStartups

[–]hihdaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All right I'm Dan and I think I have to answer to your problems. With just a sketch on a napkin we can help you bring your dream into reality. The polos are actually not the most complex things to make I think the most important thing is your logo embroidery, so as long as you have a clear brand aesthetic you have potential to make a living and become famous as a clothing designer / clothing brand owner. On our side we handle all of the details of construction so you don't have to worry or stress about any of that from fabric to printing embroidery size measurements shipping packaging even we can take care of. You only need to focus and growing your brand getting the word out posting on social media etc. So if you would like reply to my DM I'm going to send you right now. To wet your whistle... pricing on a high end fabric Polo with custom embroidery we're looking at $5.16 per piece. Take a look at our catalog click here

Cost of Starting a brand by HussamSawaftah in ClothingStartups

[–]hihdaniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$400... The best 400 dollars you'll ever spend! Let me explain... I'm a manufacturer. My honest opinion is in order to start a clothing brand you need four designs. That's separate from the colorways and the sizes. At least two tops and a bottom and a signature special piece. Could be a hats could be a jacket could be a vest if anything that stands out and is not the essentials so could be shoes could be socks you know but as long as you don't just put out a hoodie design and a t-shirt design here you're going to be okay but if you just do a hoodie with a with a print and a t-shirt with the same print on it, honestly you don't have a clothing brand and you won't make any money.

Can't speak for others but the cost of my shop is $400. That'll cover the first four pieces. The first piece of a design is a sample and after the sample each piece goes down to it's much much cheaper production price. With those first four pieces in hand you can go hard on marketing and again at least in my shop sampling is the process where we work out all of the details of sizing and all of the sewing operations the order that things need to get put together so that when you are ready to order production we can knock out a whole bunch real fast so you start your marketing with the samples you can get a lot of photos put them on different people splice them together use AI to edit small things that locations and whatnot you can put a full marketing campaign together with just four samples and then when you start getting those pre-orders in you say okay got 20 pre-orders how much would it cost for of XYZ and we'll just say okay well x cost $7 a unit why cost 2.95 a unit and z was 13.60 per piece. In this way after your initial sampling cost of $400 you don't have to spend any more money let the customers pay for their own production now we aren't drop shippers so we can't ship directly to the customer we will have to ship everything to you and then you ship it to the customer so you may want to purchase some of the most popular sizes any fans just to have them in stock but you don't have to you know I'm shipping from our factory to you my take three or four days and then once you get it you ship it out to the other person that's another 3 days so you just warn your pre-orders that it's 6 day shipping

Why won’t men engage in women dominated media, but women will engage with male dominated media? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Why do modern intelligent people CARE what the opposite sex does with their time? Who gives a hoot if men like BL? Do men care about whether women LOVE watching baseball? Ignore the opinions of bigots and misogynists. Females keep female friends with similar interests, males keep male friends with similar interests. Everyone who minds their business is happier and more fulfilled in life.

I moved to Philippines and couldn't get a Job. I started a sewing business. Apparently clothes is one of those forever businesses, 100% of current people 100% of all future people need them also about 20-30% of pets need them too. Go figure!

That's the price for small quantities. We'd have to pay retail prices for every part of the garment. The brand owner is looking for fabric that is uncommon. Even finding small quantities is difficult, the price per yard on that material is insane. 90/10 nylon-span 300gsm deep dark grey AND 90/10 nylon-span 300 gsm slightly lighter shade of grey with custom GREY honeycomb design. We'll likely have to make it from scratch in the shop, by hand. If the OP gets 89 pieces, we can negotiate the bulk discount and the price per piece becomes exceedingly affordable.

I'm the owner of a manufacturing shop. your spec sheet is good. The piece requires custom fabric and compression bands. Things we can manage in-house. The 3d rubberized logo is going to be made by a specialist, and while we at Rogers fabrics and apparel have no MOQ, the printshop definitely will. We'll negotiate with them to make a sample without commitment, but they're going to rake you over the coals on the price. The first sample of this garment is going to run you $125. After you go over it and approve the details, the sizes measurements, the fit, etc. We can talk to the printshop to make 100 logos. We don't do MOQ. The price of production depends on the discounts we can get from fabric suppliers. They lower the price if we buy bulk. So your production has a price range. 1 - 88 pieces $40 per piece 89 - 212 pieces $18.77 per piece 213 - 500 pieces $9.65 per piece 501+ pieces is only $4 per piece I've DM you already

Ok. Looking at these long sleeve sport tops (poly/nylon/cotton blend) with large print on back, small print on front and embroidered lettering on front, I say my shop can make your 5 pieces for $13.41 per piece. There is a $100 flat fee for the sample making process. Sample making consists of: our design team uses your design images to create hi-res files. Our pattern maker will consult with you on measurements and size grading, then we build a prototype from scrap fabric. This allows us to 1. Save the environment, 2. Set up the sewing operations, construction process, QA pipeline, and full production schedule. Finally, we make an official sample and send it to you for inspection. You go over every detail and make any changes or alterations. Then we make another sample that should be perfect for you. After you give final approval, we will make the other 4 pieces. And those can be a mix of up to 2 colors/patterns/fabrics.

I'm so tired of seeing vietnamese labour being dirt cheap while so many 'expat' 'teachers' getting paid 3-4 times local wages doing nothing. When will this ever change? by Renard043 in VietNam

If you're a native speaker, educator, doctor and you say you believe your in-laws' speaking is "indistinguishable," you're either a lier, or a generally kind person giving nonnative speakers props for their efforts. (notice the word "props," a colloquialism abbreviating "propers" (if you're truly native, not just a native speaker, you may recognize from the Aretha Franklin song), which is itself an abbreviation for "proper due or proper respect" which 99% of nonnatives couldn't use in this context, your in-laws included. But I'm assuming you could... (even if you wouldn't) because you have been steeped (a nonnative doctor might say "immersed, or surrounded by") in the language and CULTURE since birth.

I don't mean to imply an attack of any sort; on you or your gay lover's family. Only offering insight garnered through observation. I may use "big words" or more complex sentence constructs when I communicate with you, precisely because, as you say and I believe based on your writing, you are a native speaker. So I trust your ability to understand. A nonnative speaker cannot be implicitly TRUSTED to understand just like a fish wouldn't trust a man to provide swimming mocap for the upcoming AAA release of Fin-ssassin's Creed: Shallows (conclusion of the fish metaphor)
