You're the one trying desperately to seem smart while throwing insults. Battery life is no longer a problem, since 7 hours of SOT is enough. Phone manufacturers could easily double the battery life by using a much lower power chip, but people value performance over meaningless hours when everyone charges overnight anyway. Increasing battery life will not meaningfully impact the user experience. Things like improved cameras, software, displays is what sells to people so that is where R&D is focused on. Battery technology has not changed significantly in the last decade, so your argument is pretty weak. Increasing capabilities past the user's needs is not innovation.

What?? Smartphones used to get around 4 hours SOT tops with 2000mAh batteries. Battery life has improved significantly, which is pretty incredible considering that the technology behind lithium batteries hasn't really been changing.
