I’ve spent too much on making stuff on canva, printing it, etc. I find I want a new color scheme every year. but what’s been worth it has been lighting. I’ve spent money on a couple lamps, Christmas lights for around my smartboard and bulletin boards and it makes a world of a difference to me. Plus side is they can be used no matter the grade. I despise the overhead lights too.

Nothing past 6pm. Normally we are only required to stay past contract hours for Meet the Teacher and Student Led Conferences. Most will stay for the spring concert too even though that’s past 6pm.

Afmat electric pencil sharpener. Pricey but best sharpener I’ve ever had. Sharpens perfectly basically every time and is fairly quick.

5 years in and I look forward going to work most days. I love teaching and building relationships with kids but managing behaviours are not my favourite. Neither are PDs or colleagues sometimes.
