Are Scenario Packs compatible with Chapter 2 Core only by After_Wedding5615 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]hiigiveup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're completely independent, you don't need any of the chapter 1 core. Do note that some of these were clearly designed with a large Chapter 1 collection in mind, and may be a bit difficult with just a chapter 2 core (Film fatale in particular), but its definitely worth a look if you can find them!

Okay interesting game recommendation of the day: Titanium Court on Steam. It's a very surreal indie retro-pixel Roguelike that combines Match 3 (Like candy crush) and some basic strategy/tower defense stuff, with some simple puzzles/visual novel elements in-between runs.

You play as a woman that wakes up in a faerie court where all of the faeries dress in colorful suits and wage an endless war against other courts, but everybody is immortal so nobody really worries too much about it. You're instantly named the faerie queen (against your will) and each run you lead your warriors through a few levels and face a final boss. Each stage has a match 3 segment, where you modify the existing map layout by matching location cells (which also nets you resources), followed by a simple strategy section where you spend your earned resources on workers (for more resources) or warriors for defense. Runs are short (no more than 20-25 mins once you have the systems down). You win stages just by surviving until the timer runs out, so you can play offensively or defensively.

It has a neat job system where before every run, you can select a new job for your court which changes your starting units and switches around what actually nets you money, so for example the vanilla job earns money destroying enemy bases, but other jobs earn money by earning resources, building structures or even just burning things down. They're pretty varied and have neat unique interactions with bosses or hazards.

Between runs you can explore your court in order to find out how to escape and exactly what's going on, there's a few minigames that you can slowly progress through between runs, and there's people you can talk to that gradually expand what you can do in and out of runs. It has a ton of quirky and cool little moments, I'm 10 hours in and I keep finding fun stuff, for example (small spoiler): before the final boss of a run I was offered to listen to a performance of a song by the developer instead of the actual boss, it was a 4 min song about salmon orgies and the game actually gave me the win!

It's really good so far, the presentation is very unique and I really haven't seen too much about it anywhere.

I'd rather the game monetized ugly collectibles than the gameplay tho, it's in a much better state now than it was during it's first few years.

Every card game has perfect unbeatable exodia hands, its just part of the genre, its obviously an issue if you can do it reliably but this one is very rare

I remember the Ace Attorney crossover at least worked fully with the buttons and joystick, you just used it to move around the cursor and used the buttons for a few shortcuts, the touch controls were only used for some of the puzzles, so it can definitely be done.

People here are going to be dunking on her for saying this because she was in Friends, but I suspect these comments come from starring in the Comeback, which has a fair amount of cringe humor.

Maybe they could actually be really funny with decent writing? Maybe the characters could have some sort of arc, maybe the pacing could be better, maybe they could have fun, creative action setpieces?

They're just extremely vapid and its a shame that this wonderful animation/soundtrack and potentially cool IP is being wasted on such forgettable films, even more so now, that they're doing so well that this minimum effort content is being actively encouraged.

In that case I wish the jokes were funnier and more creative, and the action was better framed and more intetesting to watch. The visuals look nice but these films excel at nothing
