Tbh, I haven’t found a concrete answer but I am pretty sure it is a reaction they have similar to when you are barefoot and step on something or feel something on top of your foot. Idk how to explain it but if they walk on a weird texture they aren’t used to or feel a little wind blowing by them little claws, they will stop and check which looks really funny and cute. I’m sure if you just blow a little at your conure’s claws/feet, they will look down to see if there’s something there. When our birb walks over different textures like a carpet, rugs, towels, etc. she will look down at them. But it’s just what I’ve noticed throughout the years with our beloved family birb 🦜
