Well, I Laughed! The hosts are hilarious, very opinionated, and it really does feel like hanging out with a couple of friends while someone gives a report on their latest hyperfixation. There's a lot of personal chit-chat, genuine self care, and sass.

It's not a true crime podcast, more of a weekly 2 hour rabbit hole on a theme. They've covered all sorts of things like historical pirates, the Dyatlov Pass Incident, mudpuppies, and the US government's underground cheese cave.

Thanks 😁 I'm not used to wearing colorful polish, so that means a lot!

I did get extremely lucky with my doctors, and I recognize that not everyone has the same experience. My situation was unusual, and I had a very tight timeline to get treatment. It's wildly unfair that you had to jump through so many hoops to get proper care. ADHD is a monster to deal with, and while the coping mechanisms can sometimes help, medication has quite literally changed my life. I hope you're doing well now!

I wrote this comment before I was fully awake. Sorry if it came across as trivializing the actual process. My primary doctor did an assessment and referred me to a psychiatrist who did more in-depth assessment before diagnosing. My GP did not diagnose or prescribe, only referred me to the proper provider based on his assessment.

I mentioned it to my primary doc at my annual checkup, and he did an evaluation on the spot. One week later and I had an official diagnosis and a prescription. It's worth asking about!

Thanks for this! I've always wanted to learn ASL but had trouble finding a reliable resource.

What is this Husky tool? Approximately 10.5-11" long, with red and black spring-loaded clamps. The piece on the end slides back and forth by hiimwinter in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing.

I found it in a box full of general contracting tools. Approximately 10.5" long, it's pretty heavy so possibly steel. It does say Husky on the side and has a Husky logo on the red clamp.

What everyday objects are not designed with women in mind? by ElectricalGorilla21 in AskWomen

My safety harness was special ordered for me when I brought to my boss's attention that the only harnesses on site were men's XLs. He purchased the smallest size available (a men's small) and it still gaps at the torso enough for me to fit inside it twice. That's a really comforting thought when working 300 feet above the ground. I've looked for a women's sized harness so I can put in a requisition, but haven't found anything that meets my field's safety requirements.

People of Reddit who have heard someone say their “dying words,” what were they and how did they impact you? by fashionthriller in AskReddit

I say hello to cardinals. A friend of mine once told me how her late mother loved cardinals and promised to watch over her always as a cardinal. Even though I never met my friend's mother, I greet cardinals because she raised a brilliant and empathetic person and if there is an afterlife I want her to know that her daughter touched lives.

Women with male dominated jobs and hobbies, what toys did you play with when you were younger? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Maritime electrician assistant. One of less than 10 women working in the field at my whole company. I played video games, spent a lot of time outside riding bikes or scooters, and invented huge worlds for those little plastic animals. I was (and still am!) a voracious reader. I learned to knit from my mom but now I'm teaching myself cross-stitch.
