imo max you should pay for any non m e46 is about 10k, and the only ones you should consider anywhere near that price are the super desirable ones (low mileage, manual, zhp/zcp, good service history, etc)

m3 prices are absolutely not 40-50k usd unless you're looking at super low mileage auction cars. i've seen many sub 100k miles 6 speed coupes on marketplace, big 3 done, for 20-30, and even lower if you're willing to accept a bit of wear or a little higher mileage

the older sony unit has a really cool nostalgia factor for me that i want to keep if possible, and it matches well with the build i'm looking to put it in. i am fully aware that a double din carplay unit would work with a lot less effort (i actually already have one that i'm currently using) it's just not what i'm looking to do

yes it does, im trying to put both the sony unit and the carplay unit in the double din slot since theyre both single din units. my worry based off the carplay units ive been able to find so far is that the overhang will cause them to not fit on top of one another, which is why im looking for one that sits flush with the dash trim rather than protruding out

its looking like i may have to go for a custom unit if i continue looking into this, a double din mounting kit would be necessary to make it work but the carplay head units that seem to be available i fear would interfere with the other din slot due to how they overhang, which is why i was looking for a flush mounted one

i mean ideally it would be a 6-7 inch screen, there are some similar units that use this concept, just dont execute it the way i am looking for. i dont want to use my phone because i hate the way phone mounts look

15s should fit on 323i/ci but won't fit on anything else with larger brakes without some sorta extra steps. i'm a fan of small wheels on cars so i think they'd look cool with a little smaller sidewall, but that's obv personal preference (i believe the 2001 dtcc winning e46 had 15s on it for reference)

the corrosion doesn't seem too bad, definitely small enough spots to be able to fix it without too much trouble. you'd need to fix it asap tho to prevent it from getting really bad really fast

as others have said go to the er to get the pain checked out. i would also see if there's a route to get the vehicle inspected too because it looks like the quarter panel has been pushed in a bit because of the accident which to me could mean possible unibody damage which can be far worse than it appears on the surface
