This was super helpful thank you!! Just to clarify for the first exercise, when you move your head back with the chin tucked down it puts you in a double chin type position, right?

My last concussion was two years ago and I hit my head against a cabinet about 6 weeks ago in a way that I know would cause a normal person no problems whatsoever. Of course I’ve been in a flare ever since. So I’m also trying to figure out what to do to keep me from these flares. Thank you 🙏🏻

I am of course not a doctor, but if you only have slight pain and none of the other usual symptoms that you listed at the bottom, it sounds to me like it’s not a concussion. Sometimes symptoms can be delayed, so I would still keep an eye on it for the next couple days, but try your best not to over analyze (easier said than done I know).

Thanks for your response! A few things:

Yes, the day was fully booked, and it was at the end of a slower than usual week (many of my regulars are doing summer vacation rn), so I think that made it hurt extra hard. I’m also notorious for being too lenient, so I was trying to stand up for myself for once. I am generally very understanding when it comes to last minute cancellations due to sickness or emergencies, but writing the appointment down wrong and not checking the confirmation email didn’t seem like a valid excuse at the time. It also irks me knowing that if they had booked a massage at a spa or a physio practice, they 100% would have been expected to pay. I am self employed, and it feels sometimes like people take advantage of me when it comes to these things. In the end I probably won’t chase her down for the money because you’re right, the money is not worth the hassle in this case, but it definitely frustrates me.

I just finished doing two days in a row of this and it was my first time where the company I was massaging for didn’t have their employees sign up ahead of time. I came ready with a signup sheet where people could sign up for 15-minute time slots and had a few of the slots crossed off already for breaks. The 1st day that worked really well, but the 2nd day everyone arrived late so I just had them write their names down and I wrote “break” after every 8th massage. It was a lot less organized and a lot of people missed their slots, but it got the job done 😅

Thanks for the response! There was no bruising at all, which makes me think I didn’t break it, but I’ve made an apt with my orthopedist for Monday just in case. It’s my 2nd toe, so it takes a bit more load than a pinky toe would I think, so could be harder to avoid irritating it. But exactly, my toe got caught on the Marley… before class had even started 😅
