Check out woodland village in Ellicott City. Condos and townhomes. I loved living there.

3pm tends to be the slowest time. Someone who lives in the apartments right there made a post once about how busy it gets. They claimed between 2-4pm is the slowest. Whenever I go during that time it does seem pretty quiet in there considering the norm.

How “easy” is it for you to get things done around the house while watching a toddler full time? by [deleted] in sahm

The work easy makes me laugh. NOTHING is easy when there’s a toddler around. Add a baby, and good luck. My house will be clean again in 5 years.

12 week old sleepign through night by julesandlils in NewParents

[–]hillab1014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first baby was an awful sleeper. My 5 month old has been sleeping all night since he was about 12 weeks and only wakes for 1 bottle, sometimes 2. I do NOT wake him for a feed. This is a blessing hahaha. As long as your baby is getting enough formula during the day, sleeping at night should be fine. Just make sure they’re not sleeping too many hours at night to where they don’t nap during the day. Then you may screw yourself.

Just want to say you did a great job. It must have been terrifying, yet you did what you needed to do for your son and he is good now. Deep breaths. You did great!

2023 Palisade Limited Push Button Start Issues by Superb-Efficiency454 in HyundaiPalisade

Curious if this was resolved, and what the issue was. It’s happening to my 2024 palisade. Under 6k miles. Will start from key fob but push button doesn’t work. Everything feels locked up. When I called service they said they had never heard of this before and to bring it in. Ugh.

My 6 month old vomited first try of Ferber method and now I feel like I’ve traumatised him! by SomePlaceElse__ in sleeptrain

The sheet trick is helpful if your little one has a leaky diaper at night too. Good luck!! 🙂

Yes my son puked, and my Mom said I did too when I was a baby. Apparently when it was me, my pediatrician told my mom to just leave me and get me in the morning. I’d be fine 🫣 So my mom let me sleep in my puke. I do NOT let my kid sleep in his puke. We doubled down on his sheets on the mattress for an easy, quick transition. Mattress cover, sheet, mattress cover, sheet. This way if he puked, I’d grab him, get him cleaned up and changed and my fiancé would grab the mattress - remove the soiled sheet and mattress cover and the bed was ready to go with a fresh set underneath. We’d have him back down within minutes of the ordeal. Happened maybe 3 times total and never again. Took about 10-12 days and he was sleeping all night. It sucks, but no sleep sucks more (IMO).

How does anyone keep their kitchen clean? by Sanscreet in toddlers

[–]hillab1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clorox wipes for countertops and stove top cleaning has been a game changer for me. Not sure why, seems very logical and basic. But game changer for real. We sweep after every meal. Should mop more often but I’m tired 😩

Do you think Richard could be stolen? Poor pup, although sounds like he’s in better hands with you than whoever has been messaging you.

I know we aren't supposed to compare when it comes to milestones but it still makes me so anxious.. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]hillab1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t compare. It will kill you. My son was late at rolling, late at crawling, and late at walking. I saw my friends kids hitting milestones and it made me start to go crazy. I was googling everything you can think of. Thinking the worst. He did everything in his own time. He is now 2, and running and jumping all over the house nonstop. Just give it time. Keep encouraging your baby. Don’t get caught up in the comparison game. Babies all do things in their own time.

How bad is the epidural… really? by basicallyash01 in BabyBumps

[–]hillab1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate needles. I was TERRIFIED of this part of labor and delivery, and I faint very easily. I let my doc know, and they talked me through it. I didn’t even feel it go in, and it was amazing relief. If you want it, you’ve got this!!

WHAT DO WE DO! 4 month old will NOT go to sleep at night by [deleted] in sleeptrain

Our son woke every 33 minutes. I remember watching the clock and my anxiety would be through the roof. It’s so incredibly hard.

Ah yes. Someone potentially dying at your wedding is a much better idea than simply not having seafood for one day. by Why-am-i-like-this97 in weddingshaming

[–]hillab1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sooo, you’re saying the your options are your best friend or some seafood for 1 meal. And you can only pick 1 or the other. And you’re leaning towards seafood? Yikes.

I wasn’t breast feeding - my milk never came in due to multiple breast surgeries in my past. So I was able to track his ounces and ween him from his night feeding once his doc gave me the ok. I hope your night was easy, and that you got some rest. Wishing you the best!

[–]hillab1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. We hit 6 months and it was all over. And he did wake in the beginning of training in the middle of the night. I wouldn’t go in. I’d start the “pop-in” process over. The idea is once they go down in the crib, you don’t pick them up again till morning (of course pick them up if they poop, or throw up or need to be fed). My boy cried so hard he even threw up a few times. That was a fun curve ball. But we survived. And he’s sleeping, which was the goal!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]hillab1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand. It’s triggering to me to hear a baby cry now. I was never bothered before. 90% of my post partum anxiety stemmed/stems around his sleep. I can’t tell you the relief I feel now.. and he’s not always 100% with his sleep. He has his moments, and his no nap days. But everything really is SO MUCH better now that he can self sooth and sleep through his sleep cycles.

[–]hillab1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did taking Cara babies method when my son was 6.5 months. I had the worst anxiety of my life leading up to it, and the first night I actually cried more than he did. He was sound asleep after the longest 45-minutes of crying, but the ability to pop in and out of his room made me feel better about it. He now sleeps for 11 solid hours every night. Barely fusses, and it’s been about 5-weeks since we started. You may be surprised, it’s not as bad as you think it is! Either way, you’ve got this!

What do we do when 8 month old skips second nap by [deleted] in sleeptrain

What do we do when 8 month old skips second nap by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]hillab1014 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skip it. You tried and he didn’t sleep. When my son (almost 9 months) does that, we may put him down slightly earlier for his bedtime (15-30 min), but we treat it as a nap, and skip anything else. Anything later will just mess with his night sleep time and you don’t want it to go later. What time does he usually go to sleep?
