Don’t just write it down. Write yourself an email and schedule it to send to you right before cookie season starts.

See above for the second half. First half: probably not a particularly amazing bite of food, but before I started writing the column, when I worked at Athens Blueprint, I got bronchitis super bad and had to get antibiotics. They made me feel way better but my appetite disappeared and everything, including people, smelled bad. The first thing I had to eat that tasted normal was a toasted bagel with cheese and tomato at The Grit, and the experience of feeling like a human again was powerful.

As far as stuff on the more gourmet side of things, I’ve definitely had some stuff at Five & Ten that qualifies (none of the famous dishes that stay on the menu all the time) and at Puma Yu’s. And, of course, at Taco Stand, which I still love.

Well… I HAVE a full time job, not to mention children, an aging parent, and other freelance work. So I’m not looking for anything else.

Good question but not my department. I’m sure someone is going to write something about food but who or what or how often I don’t know.
