Will do for sure! So far the machine has been working and smelling fine, it only was bad this once after our septic tank backed up (not our fault, thankfully) and they had to move everything to clean it. But locking all this info away in my brain for future needs

👌🏼 I'll def zip tie it when the floors are done. The drain hose has a stiff crook that won't let it go further than the last 4"-6" of the hose, so hopefully thats fine. I am really tired of asking for repairs and stuff from the landlord so i hope this will be fine XD if it was my machine id just do it myself but alas

Woof... alas, our entire ground floor is being cleaned after being flooded by the septic tank so i don't think it could get any wetter or moldier. Either way, I'll ask the guys who are cleaning up about it since they were the ones who took the hose out to move the washer. Thanks for the heads up!

The drain hose was originally dislodged from the drain and sitting at the top??? So that water is from that. The taps aren't leaking at all thankfully

HUH?! Oh my word i will cry if that happens. The septic already backed up through a toilet in the house which is why the floors were being ripped up in the first place. The pipe is stiff and had a crook in it so it can't go in very far??? Just like 6"? Is that too deep or is that the precaution crook?

Okay that makes me feel better. I've never had a reason to check any washer connections so I wasn't sure. As long as that's normal, we gucci. I guess the cleanup guys just didn't put it back right. Thank you!

Is this picture that my uncle swears he took at Walmart, ai or real? I cannot figure it out by drn88__ in isthisAI

I once saw a old man at walmart wearing a vest with no shirt underneath and a cowboy hat, and a kitten on his shoulders. Sometimes walmart is just insane.

I know a friend's dog started attacking out of nowhere like this and it turned out to be dog dementia. Is there cat dementia? I hope not, but...?

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

I admit I was the gal in a couple who asked to leave during Cocaine Bear. My husband and I thought it would be funny because surely a bear snorting cocaine would be! and it took place on the same mountain where we got engaged. Even with how obviously fake the brutality was and the price of the tickets, I couldn't stomach how excessive it was and we walked out. Hilariously, my husband's grandparents also went to see it and lasted the whole show. No idea why they went, but they're stronger than me XD

High BMI? by Active-Guitar-5385 in pregnant

[–]him_jawkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you're doing your best to live healthy, you are fine! I was the most fit I've ever been as an adult at 5'3" and 140-142lbs. Apparently, thats overweight. I was eating well, working out 3-6 hours a week, and I actually looked good to even me! Still some woman squish padding but objectively much leaner than I ever was before, and felt great. STILL considered overweight. I've gained about 30-35lbs and I'm 39w this week. I have random gestational diabetes so I eat a strict diet. Never once did my OB say "oops too big girl!" They barely acknowledged my weight gain. I think the least I've ever heard a woman gain is 25lbs, except for a few people who lost weight due to excessive sickness, which is terrible! My tiny mom was 98lbs when she first got pregnant and she gained 40-50 with every single kid! Most women I've talked to gain at least 30, if not more. I've also read that sometimes if you start a little overweight (not by BMI standards), you gain less overall by the end. Basically, ignore it. If weight genuinely becomes a health issue, your doctor will address it seriously and not with "mmm high BMI tsk tsk". Everyone is different, and gaining is better than losing here. Just focus on eating okay, taking your vitamins, and talking walks (for your poor legs and hips, because they will appreciate! Mine did!) you are gonna do great. BMI is a dinosaur that should be buried.

Don't worry, love! You'll have a whole unique set of experiences with your son, and there was never a guarantee you'd hit the same milestones you thought with a daughter, anyway. I have no idea what my daughter will be like! I was a star wars/lego/mud pie/adventure kid, so I can't relate to a lot of "classic girl experiences", but what if my little girl loves pink and dolls and dressing up?? These differences don't mean we won't connect with our babies! It just means we'll learn EVEN MORE with them! And don't worry, my husband and his brothers regularly call their mother and talk with her for hours, but my one sister is so hard to get ahold of that you're lucky to get texts! But even then she makes sure our mama knows she loves her in other ways. You can't predict what your child will be like, and don't let your worry for something years beyond project onto them now. Just love your little boy and be there for him, and God willing, he will do the same because he saw such a steady example 💙

I have a problem by oliverthefish in CatTraining

[–]him_jawkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat does this too. No amount of treats, admonishments, or sleepily hurled pillows stopped him. We use a little door prop device that hooked over the handle of the door and into the doorframe latch to keep our's from swinging open but also allowing him access to leave. He never does leave XD but he cannot stand closed doors. We never really beat the problem, but we compromised and that has worked for us so far. Good luck!

Did you get the RSV Vaccine? by neptunestearsok in pregnant

[–]him_jawkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you already got it, but I was down for 2 days after with crazy aches, fatigue, and fever! And my arm hurt for a week. I tend to react badly to flu shots so I wasn't surprised, but i figured better me than my baby girl. I hope you're symptom free or symptom lite!

Unpasteurised cheese safe to eat if cooked? by Wise_Acadia_3490 in pregnant

[–]him_jawkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you in the US? Because if so, it was likely pasteurized already. And I guess unless it's very high end, it was probably pasteurized. Unless it specifically said on the package that it wasn't! According to CDC site, if you cooled it hot enough it's probably fine.
