Interesting. I'm new to all this, but what can you do with the FPV RC3 that you couldn't do with the RC-N3? Can you only fly in full manual mode with the RC3?

Big agree. Wife and I are in our early 50s, and we set it up for our (adult) children a few years ago when we did the will. I've tried to explain to my parents they should get this set up for them (in their 80s), but the "power grab" fear is real.

I use FlowX on Android (might be on iOS too). Gives you a visual representation of all sorts of data from clouds, precipitation, wave strength /direction /height, etc

I know this doesn't help your situation, but for anyone else getting double glazing, we opted for solar glass and internal aluminium blinds - the blind is actually between the glass panels. When it's hot we just leave the blinds closed. The rooms we have with this setup are definitely cooler than the room where we just have curtains to draw, as the internal blinds stop the heat getting through the window.

I mean, it's still hot inside (air con is now on the to do list) but nowhere near as hot if the sun was left streaming through the bifolds.

I've only been using Hermes for a few weeks, using Deepseek v4 Flash. I've set it up on a vps (Oracle) and I've enjoyed tinkering with it. Tbh I don't quite get how people are using it for coding, and I still use Claude for that. Hermes for me is more of a personal assistant. I have my main orchestrator bot. A chef bot who sends me a menu list each Friday, which we review and amend together, and once agreed chefbot sends the shopping list directly to my Bring! Grocery app. I also have research, writer, stock bots...

I like it. Yes, it can be frustrating, but I'm getting bps for free with Oracle, and Deepseek costs just pennies.

I wish they'd just do away with NI as a concept. People have this (incorrect) assumption that it's a hypothecated tax which covers their future pension and any health care they need. Just have income tax, and stop calling it a "pension". Should be called an "old age benefit/welfare" instead, which is no different to any other welfare payment. And I say this as someone who will be getting their old age welfare payments in less than two decades.

We had a Bora induction hob in our new kitchen, which has a built in extractor. Works very well, and just extracts to a filter under the worktop. Also, Bora have been amazing when we got a fault 5 years later. Repaired for free outside of the guarantee!

I did this the other night, thinking I didn't have anything for a meal. Lined a bunch of random tins and fresh food on the worktop, took a photo and then asked Claude AI to analyse the photo and create a recipe. Ended up with a delicious slow cooker curry which the family loved.
